Appreciate your input. I tried talking to the dealer/service department without wane. If you don't mind, what is the source of information you posted...MBUSA or personal experience?

I've read the thread in its entirety but are extended warranties taxable? Maybe state dependent??? I'm in Austin and MB Austin is my dealer. I'm asking as I'd like to know before I call them and out of state folks.

Friends,
A) EW - I am looking for 7 Yr / 100K EW. I think $2,200 to $2,400 is reasonable price to pay (based on this Thread discussion so far).
If someone paid price in that range, could you please post that contact person in this thread. * If whatever reason, don't feel comfortable in thread, please PM me the details. Appreciate the help.
B) Pre-paid Maintenance - I am also looking for Pre-paid Maintenance (all 4 - in first 4 years). Once again I think $1000 - $1200 as good price range.
If someone paid price in that range, could you please post that contact person in this thread. * If whatever reason, don't feel comfortable in thread, please PM me the details. Appreciate the help.
Once again, Thanks in advance.

Tafel Motors KY
Jeff Jackson
(502)896-4411 ext 1246
Also ... I have explored option to buy from Brett (512)381-7382 @ MB Austin. He also offered the following. He was also very professional and courteous in response. His options were
GLC300 4Matic ( 7/75=$1700 OR 7/100=$2700 )
I think between these 2 folks --- You can get the best deal for EW (as no games played and straight shooting transparent pricing by both )

Is the prepaid maintenance for $769 a good deal
GLC owner here approaching the one year anniversary so I need to figure out the maintenance situation.
(I only have 5000 miles on the car... I ride a bike much more than drive. Thus I'm up against the 12 month limit, as opposed to the mileage limit.)
Googling turns up what Mercedes says is a "new low price" for the 3 year maintenance of $769.
Is this a good deal?
A quick look suggests this "Star Maintenance" is a lesser plan than what they offered previously. It's basically oil changes. Am I right about this?
TIA for advice.

And then there is hard to monetize list of inspections.
Plan saves ~ 25-30% if paid separately. Buying plan from out of state MB dealer (as mentioned here) may save some more in sales tax.
If you are going to do this at a dealer, buying PPM is a better option than paying individually. Cost of above services is much less (may be not much in CA) at indy's, though.

I'm like you LazyDriver. I walk to my office each day and only drive my personal car about 7000 miles per year, so I will be doing these services annually. I contacted dealers in my area (Denver) and most charge ~$250 for the A service and ~$650 for the B service. $769 up front for the first 3 service visits is an attractive price to me. I think I would buy that if they offered it.

Maybe I am missing something but why don't people just take their MB to an independent garage that specializes in MB?
My friend has a GLA250 and an oil change costs him $80 versus $300 at the dealership (Canada).
As long as they know how to service an MB, can reset the code, why would anyone pay the ridiculous dealer rates? Even my sales rep said the $300 Service A was simply an oil change..

The$769 is an excellent deal (at least in the MB world). I'd love to find a similar deal for the 4 yr plan. Be careful when looking at these plans. Just saw a dealer with the STAR plan advertised as a plan for "Used" MB at a higher price than mentioned here. And they called their plan for New cars a Premier plan for $975.
I'm as tight as anyone but don't think those who choose to use their dealer for service should be derided for doing so. After 4 years I'll evaluate my relationship with the dealer and go from there. BTW, I've had an outstanding relationship with my Toyota dealer for the last 26 years. They've NEVER done anything that wasn't necessary and they've always been more than fair with me. And they've always treated me like a MB customer. Of course, they don't charge MB prices, so we'll see how that goes.

This may be a link to a 2010 PPM Plan!

I did a little checking and this $769 plan was discussed on the mbworld forum back in 2010. The link lazydriver included above just goes to an undated MB PDF. Unintentional I'm sure, but maybe one of those "too good to be true" deals.
Can anyone confirm this one way or the other?

2018 GLC 4Matic Custom Order
10% MSRP
$1700 7/75 Extended Warranty
Worked with the best salesman in the country (SW USA). If anyone needs a great deal, he's your guy. Straight forward and gets the deal done. When other dealerships laughed at getting any discount, he beat anyone. PM Me for INFO.
I'll fly to this dealership and pay to ship my car to another state if I had to.

I have a 2018 GLC 43 SUV that is scheduled to arrive in mid Nov 2017. This is my first MB & I feel like I'm drinking from a fire hose with all of the great information that is accessible on this forum. Could you "please" tell me what kind of a deal you ended up getting on your extended warranty, maintenance plan, etc. The contact and ph. # would be great. I live in Georgia & are taking delivery on my car in Indiana, therefore where I buy the warranty is not a big deal, so long that it is acceptable at all MB dealers nationwide.

Have a MY 18 GLC300W4 on order for mid-to end of October delivery (production scheduled second decade Sept 2017). Doing a 3 year lease. My SA bundled service into lease so only actually paying 59% of service cost.

Hi Folks,
I know everyone here does a good amount of research before investing in the different options out there with MB cars. I just got a Mercedes GLC 300 4 matic and will be taking delivery in a couple of days. I was hoping to get some feedback on the rates I'm getting on extended warranty and prepaid maintenance so I can know if I need to shop around / negotiate more or just go ahead!
Prepaid Maintenance - $1065 for 4yr/40K. I know the common thought process is to pay out of pocket for the first one and then purchase a 20/30/40K so you get a B A and B service. That said, I compared a lot of rates and this seems pretty competitive so planning on going for all 4 right away. Thoughts?
Extended Warranty - I'm getting 7yr/75K for $2200. Should I be looking for something better?
Thanks everyone!

Picked up our 2018 loaded GLC 300 yesterday in Orlando, and due to Florida Law maintenance and warranty prices are fixed at a very high rate.
Called Jeff at the recommendation of others and he is great to work with.
7/75k warranty $1700
4/40k maintenance $1275
Tafel Motors KY

Glc prepaid maintenance
I have talked to several MB dealers about maintenance on my 2017 GLC. They said MB has now gotten away from the A/B designation and uses mileage (10/20/30 etc) because different services are included. 40/50/60k services are really expensive due to spark plugs, transmission,etc...
i have gotten quotes on 40/50/60k prepaid services which retail for 1450 but i can get for 1250. I think its a good deal as those 3 services individually are over 2000. Any thoughts or experience on this?
