MB and Apple Carplay/Android Auto
I have just received a flyer from the dealership that smartphone integration is available for my GLC.
Priced from (only) AUD $395 installed.

Hi Penn, well done, heard of rumours for last 5 months, this is first confirmation.
Is it only for Audio 20 system or will it also work with the Command Package ?

Appears that it is a module, cable plus installation.
It was recently released for the NTG 5*1 system and I am still awaiting confirmation that the upgrade will work with the NTG 5*2 fitted to the GLC.

I have been in contact with the dealership. This upgrade is available for the GLC only if you have command. As my GLC has the Audio 20 system I will have to wait a few more months before the upgrade becomes available.

does anybody have a part number? I'd like to look this up at work tomorrow and get some more details. Not having CarPlay when my truck arrives(even though I've never used it) was really eating at me the more I thought about it lol considering a CLA/GLA gets it

Spoke with MB Berwick, as mine did have the Comand pack. Unfortunately not available for GLC at the moment. Even though it is the correct Comand Version they haven't come out with the interface to fit our vehicles.

This is very welcome news. I am so sick of struggling with MB's truly terrible interface! I'd heard complaints in the reviews but I didn't realize just how poor the software is until I spent a couple months with it!

Just a note for those with the command system, If you hold down the Voice activation button for a few seconds more than you would usually, you get Siri voice commands instead of the factory voice commands.
Tried this today with my Dec 15 built GLC.
WORKED with Siri, told me the street I was in. Later tried again and had my unread SMS read out to me with option to respond.
Have not yet got it to make a call for me, but all promising to date.

Also very interested in any information others could provide.
I'm looking at getting a GLC 43 in Australia which almost has all the options as standard.
I was told by my sales consultant carplay is still not available to GLC for June's built onwards to his knowledge. I've asked him to look into this further but yet to receive a reply. At least the official brochure from MB regarding the glc does not have it here in Australia.
