Which engine oil should I use for 2016 GLC 300?
I apologize if this is stupid question. I couldn't find it in my manual, probably over looking it. I think I'm suppose to use Mobile 1 0W-40, but just want to make sure. When I put in my car in on Pepboys website it's giving me Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-30 Motor Oil. How many quarts would I need for an oil change? Thank you in advance.

In Oz MB dealers no longer use Mobil 1.
They use Mercedes Benz branded oil which is made by Fuchs oil.
Most important is that the oil is compliant with the relevant MB specification.

I agree. The most important aspect is choosing an oil that complies with M-B spec. 229.50. The list of compliant oil is quite lengthy including some brands I've never heard of. So no matter where on the planet you live you should have no difficulty finding suitable engine oil.
It would be very interesting to know why M-B Australia decided to stop using Mobil 1.
Under the hood on my GLC is a decal that recommends use of Mobil 1 or Mercedes-Benz oil. It was an easy choice for me as I've been using Mobil 1 since 1989. And every car I've had since then has had a long life engine. One went 238,000 miles and was still purring along when I sold it. That said, I firmly believe any full synthetic oil would most likely have performed as well.
My dealer uses Mobil 1 exclusively. I'm guessing in part because its easier to acquire and cheaper to buy. Further, it's easy to find and frequently on sale at the big box stores.
Understand I'm not advocating everyone should use Mobil 1, only that any oil meeting the 229.50 spec will suffice.
