Does your 2016 GLC car startup like this at the speedo? The outer ring has red LEDs that light up. See it in action at the 27 second

Strange- mine doesn't do this- same spec and the car in the video appears to also be a uk spec car. Perhaps this a new addition for 2017 glc's mine might be 2016. Any ideas or does everyone have a disco speedo?!

Mine is '16 and does it.
Not as flashy as the video though.

Well my needles go round on start up but definitely don't have the amber led lights around the outside of the speedo- how odd that my car seems to have a different spec- it's the same with the seatbelt 'hug' function- don't have that either......

Have you started it when it is in S or S+ mode? Try that, if I'm not mistaken mine doesn't do it in C mode, I never use S but do use S+. And looking at the photos above the car is in S mode.

GLC 250 from Malaysia doesn't startup with the lights around the speedo.

1st push = dial check
2nd push = LED check

I was given a 2016 C450 AMG as a loaner and the lights did that; they don't on my 2016 GLC 300. I assumed it was an AMG feature.

The car featured in the video was an AMG line version, like mine, not a full AMG version. In terms of press 1, press 2- what am I supposed to be pressing? And it doesn't seem to make any difference if I put the car in Sport or Sport+ modes- still no fancy lights around the speedo

Press the start/stop button without brake pedal depressed.

Thanks chaps- tried the press 1 and 2 and the needles go round on 1 (no lights round the speedo) and 2 the warning lights come on but again no lights around the speedo so my car definitely doesn't have this- weird
