Front suspension arm recall?

Hi all,

just received a call from MB letting me know they need my GLC43 back to change the front suspension arms. Apparently its a recall. The information they gave me was a bit sketchy. They need the car for 2 days apparently..

Anyone else receive calls today?

Ok guys, I have a bit more info from the dealer on this.

My front air shocks need to be replaced. Apparently the ones i have are susceptible to leaking. Though i have no signs at all of leaking shocks at the moment. This directive came from the factory, so its gotta go in for a couple of days.

Thanks - that's helpful. My first service is due in a couple of months.
If you see anything which looks like a factory notice/recall do please let us know - although they generally don't like showing them to the punters!

Will do!.. Im just hoping when they change out these struts that they dont affect my wheel alignment. At the moment i only have very minimal crabbing. I hope they dont make it worse..

In most instances work done on the front end mandates an alignment check.

At or near the end of the directive detailing component replacement look for a paragraph stating; " preform alignment check."

When delivering your vehicle for required replacement ensure you and the service dept. are on the same page regarding alignment subsequent to component replacement.

I'll definitely be having a word to them. I just hope they dont stuff it up. Last thing i want is to be back and forth at the dealer..
