Both sides’ mirror noises

Hi Everyone,

Recently, I notice that there are some noises when I squeeze the case of the mirrors, it makes some very annoying noises!!
Is it normal due to impacts of the nature or there are problems with my mirrors?

Hmm ..just approached my GLC, asked her politely if she minded if I squeezed her mirrors, (you did ask before??) ........no noises here.

Maybe go see your dealer and give them a feel.

Maybe there is something lost in translation here. Do you mean your mirrors make noise when the move from their normal driving position to the closed, park position?? If so, what kind of noise??

He says he squeezes them. I do not know why you would squeeze the mirror housing.

Having worked with people from many different countries I can tell you that it is not unusual to hear creative descriptions of things or actions when you are trying to use something other than your native language. I vividly remember a German lady asking me for help in a grocery store in the USA insisting what she needed were waffles. It took a few minutes to figure out what she wanted were ice cream cones.
I doubt we will hear form him again.

Squeezing a mirror is something I just can’t see myself doing.

Thanks Flubadub,

Yes, we have had a laugh or 2 with the original post, which I hope was taken in good natured fun.
I am an Australian, and it is part of our culture to 'poke fun' at our mates. Doesn't mean to offend (usually !!), but sometimes is difficult if interpreted the wrong way.

Back to the original post, ....he should take his vehicle in to his dealer and have it checked out if he has concerns.
There could be an issue with his vehicle. If he does find something, I hope he posts back, as it may help others.

We spend a lot of money for these vehicles and it is natural to expect a higher standard from MB.

Phil.

Different strokes for different folks. What I most often squeeze usually moans or more often shouts STOP.

Does "squeeze" perhaps mean "fold"?
