Spark plugs
Does anyone know the brand and part number for the spark plugs in a 2016 GLC 300 with the 2.0 turbo engine? 2 wheel drive if it makes a difference. Can't seem to find that info in the owners book.

Bosch 0241140522 - required at 50K miles - please understand for this generation of MB engine - when the plugs are installed they must be "indexed"

I also had never heard of spark plugs being indexed.
Here's a video I found. I do NOT know if the same description and installation guidance applies to our MB's.

3rd post in this thread I linked the doc about indexing from MB. It's not an issue as long as you use the correct plugs.

I have never trusted factory pre-gaps. I've found too many so called pre-gapped plugs out of spec. Doesn't take but a few minutes to verify four or six plugs.

Agreed, but more often than not, people who use traditional gapping tools do more harm than good with these fine wire iridium plugs. They have to be adjusted carefully.

Joe (and MB) have done an excellent job explaining how important/critical it is to use OEM plugs AND to torque them to 23 Nm . I'm now thinking I need to have my dealership change them because I have no confidence that my Home Depot variety torque wrench is properly calibrated.

Any torque wrench will suffice, it's not that critical. The point is to be close, not 100% perfect anyway. There is still a range the plug can be in even at that torque, so even with a fairly inaccurate torque wrench, lets say 10% off, you are barely changing the value and it will not make a difference.
