19 GLC car door LED projector
I’m planning to buy 4 car door lighting projector from Alibaba. Anyone knows what voltage I should get ? 12v ?
The stuff sold on alibaba is probably designed for China GLC version. Not sure if that will be compatible with the US GLC

I purchased LED projector door lights with the Mercedes logo from Amazon for $18 a pair. They were easy to install and work well.

The install is quite straightforward - however - when installing the MB connector to the aftermarket socket - make sure the pins in that socket line up - sometimes the China pins are crooked and they need to be straight to accept the MB connector correctly.

Extended rear lighting
The rear door puddle lights on our 2017 are lit along with our rear foot wells. I noticed that two recent GLC300 loaners didn’t have this extended lighting. I’m not sure what package includes the additional lighting.

As part of a two year anniversary update to my 2017, I found a set of factory led projectors for my front doors for about $150 ebay(dealership wanted $320!)
So much better looking than the Amazon stuff. Just the Mercedes star projected on the ground, no words. Took five minutes to install both.

I installed the Chinese aftermarket puddle lights about a year ago. They are slightly distorted, and of low-quality, as expected. With that said, I just got done with a dealer 2019 C300 sedan loaner that had puddle lights in the same position (courtesy lights mounted on inside of door, not the uber expensive ones under the side view mirrors). They were VERY sharp looking. The car had 300 miles on it, and obviously did not have aftermarket puddle lights installed. I have tried to locate the Mercedes part number, but have been unsuccessful so far.

The OE Mercedes system in the door has a "step-up transformer/box" that installs in the door - car power lead connects to that kindof a intense box with heat sink case construction - then that box gets connected to the lamps - the box give's the "boost" for the MB projector lamps..
The China set runs off the straight 12V system - just light the regular light...

Good luck on your search. Like I mentioned, the dealership in Portland quoted me $320. I mentioned it was a $200 upgrade at the time of purchase, but no luck
on the price, hence, Ebay. I will say, once you see the crisp, clean and bright logo on the ground, you'll love it.

Mine is a 17, but it probably applies to the 16 as well.
Five minutes with the factory replacement. Some sort of prying tool(hell, a butter knife would work)
applied to one of the outside corners and it pops right down. Disconnect the wire and install it on the
new projector and it snaps back in....five minutes for both sides.
