Should I put the OEM run flat tires back before lease return?
My GLC 350e lease will be expired in 3 months, I have purchased four regular Michelin tires to replace the OEM run flat tires when one of the run flat tire was damaged.
When I return the lease car, do I have to purchase four new run flat tires and put them back on the car?
thanks.

If the tread wear is acceptable on the run flats, put them back on and call it a day
why would you buy new tires and then return the vehicle, does not make sense...

Hell no! Return the run craps and sell the used ones if they're worth a crap

one of the run flat tire had a hole, and Costco tire center told me they cannot fix the run flat tire like that, it's by law, so I dumped them, and bought four new regular tires at Costco.

Well, if that is the case......I guess you're out of luck. How used are the tires you just bought?

The new tires are very good, the road noise is almost not noticeable, the ride is very comfortable, and there is no much rolling as well. I was happy about them until now

Just make sure to use all the windshield wiper fluid before you turn it in

I understand that the member's here are trying to be helpful - but let me give you the correct information:
1. from the MBFS side - as the leasee you are obligated to return your MB running on a MB approved Brand/Model tire set - yes, they can be "worn".
From the MBFS side - you will have a added charge for a New Set MB-Approved Brand/Model tire set if you return with a "Standard" tire set..
This is not just a Mercedes thing - common to All Luxury Brand Leases - also applies to Windshield Replacement as well - if you had a cracked windshield replaced with Generic/Not-MB-brand then you would be charged for a correct MB-brand windshield
Now - if the dealer you are returning your MB to - "wants" to have that MB from MBFS - then that dealer "purchase"/takeover from MB that dealer can "overlook" that - since with mileage they would have to replace the tires anyway to Certify with Mercedes.
It would help with that MB Dealer if you were planning to move forward with another New Mercedes - but it "sounds" like you are not.
From my side - on my leased Mercedes C & E - since the original Extended Mobility tires don't "drive well enough" for me - and since the original set "might" last 15K the style that I drive - in the 1st month of my lease(s) - I have decent "regular" tires installed and but the original MB set in the garage so they can go back on fresh for Lease Turn in which benefits me - and benefits that dealer I am returning it to (in this case returning to myself)
