Brake noise on a new GLC

Hi,

I'm new to Mercedes, i just got a GLC Coupe (Automatic) 3 weeks ago. I immediately notice a loud noise when the car is about to stop / and start (break release) The dealer told me it's normal but i have doubts. It's even embarrassing when i park.

Does all Benz car make this noise ?

I am not clear from your description of the problem.
Do you mean, you start the car and release the parking brake, the noise comes when you select D from P and the car starts to move?
And the noise also comes when you stop the car and select P from D?

BTW, I listened watched the video a few times and the entire recording sounds muffled to me. Cannot really get a meaning idea from it.

It's not the parking brake, for example i'm in D, the noise appears at the moment the car is almost totally stop or when it restart when i release the brake

Happens to me once in a while. Once I start driving, it goes away. It's usually brake dust.

I have the exact same issue on my GLS....have you found any fix yet? It almost seems like the brakes are to small for the weight of the car in some weird way

I'd guess it's a problem with the ABS system. I've have them check that out thoroughly, with a scanner/live data and if it's okay, have them flush the brake fluid. There's no way that's normal.

It sounds like you are releasing or activating the brake in such tiny increments that the brake rotor is barely moving against the pads and it sliding/stopping in minute intervals, sounding like tiny clunks. I've experienced this by doing extremely gentle stopping and starting on many brands of cars. I can do this in my old GLK by barely releasing the brake enough so that the car just begins to move. Your videos show you barely moving...

Just my guess, but I'm able to reproduce it and on many cars.
