Used 2018 GLC 300 owner here. I noticed a couple of small stains on the interior ceiling on the rear passenger/driver-side. Noticed today after a very heavy, continuous downpour that the passenger side rear ceiling was damp. I took these pictures. PLEASE tell me that this is a clogged drain for the sunroof or that the seal needs to be replaced vs. some catastrophic issue that will need a lot of work. Pictures have been attached. Thanks in advance. Also, IF IT IS a leak due to a bad seal, what is the cost of fixing something like this? Rear driver's side Rear passenger's side (You can make out the fresh wet spot)
Yup that is a classic sign of clogged drain as mentioned. Glad you have a bright interior so you can spot it early before it gets worse and flood the floor damaging the electronics.
Be really careful if you are trying to clean the drain, whether It's with a probe, brush, or air.
If you cause the tubing to disconnect, it's a major project to reattach it.
I think that part of the A&B service is to verify working sunroof drains. Used to be and should be.
I recently asked a service advisor if they routinely lubricated the sun roof tracks as part of an A or B service. He didn't know what I was talking about.

I don't think the tracks need lube very often, if at all.
Thank you to all who replied. It is my first time owning a vehicle w/ a sunroof and didn't even know this was a thing (the drain ports). Any ideas on how to get the stains out?
Where in the holy hell is the access to the rear sunroof drains? I don't even care if I have to climb underneath the vehicle and work backwards. I can't afford for this to happen again with a hard rain.
So it was not the drains for the sunroof, but the glass/plastic piece that runs in front of the sunroof. It needed replacing. $2300 later and it is fixed. Ridiculous cost in my opinion.

I wish lol. Unfortunately, the insurance agency said that it was more wear-and-tear type issue. I was dumbfounded when I heard the total for replacing that piece. It wasn't even glass!
