I hope you have more patience than I do. This wait has aged me and I'm only having to wait 2 months for my build to start.

Spoke with my dealer today and secured an 8% discount and 500 fleet discount on a first decade November GLC63 built...

I will have to travel out of state as local dealers seem to think that the GLC63 is a "limited production model" and will only give 3%

GLC63 discount - realistic

My dealer is suggesting only 2 percent on a GLC63. No MSRP yet and some options still $tbd. I can still get an order in for Jan 18 build. Realistically, what is best discount I should target? Hestitant to pull trigger without knowing cost. Would appreciate pricing strategy with dealer. I don't want to go back and forth. Thanks.

Thinking about making some tweaks to my build. Removing the trailer hitch, adding the spoiler after seeing pictures of it.

Anyone else doing the running boards? Im on the fence with them.

I just removed the running boards from my order. There is a good discussion about them on these threads.

2% is very low. I had one local dealer give me 4% off the bat without even pushing hard. I suggest you go in with a request for a 7% discount and see where you end up. But be aggressive and tell them you are shopping around, and then call at least 6 dealerships and play them off against each other.

I just checked on a build date, Will reply back when I find out. Thx for the info on the running boards. Im trying not to add more and more weight to this. Im driving this M3 Comp Pkg with the carbon fiber roof and barely any added weight and it is FAST. I put in the pano roof on the GLC63, so I'd like them to be about as fast as each other.

Regarding discount I was able to get 10% and I know my dealership had the ability to do 2, possibly 3 at that and they are all gone.

Interesting. Both Sales Rep and GM said no way getting much off a new GLC63. I'd love 4 percent but getting the impression they won't budge. Only 10 total orders in Central region for GLC63 in the queue. I suggested I would consider Macan Turbo. Exchange here offering $4k off one, or about 4 percent.

Another way to save weight is Carbon Ceramic Brakes. Not sure what they cost though. I have them on my Porsche and I love them. But they were standard on that car. Paying $10k for them would not be worth it since it's hard to recover any of that on resale.

Yea the CCB would be way more. I'm getting about 3.7 / 3.8 0-60 on the M3. If I can be sub 4 or hover right at 4.0 I'll be happy. AWD will for sure help off the line.

You should be good. The E63S is marginally beating the promised 0-60 time so you can expect the GLC63 to live up to the 3.9s.

So they get new allocation on the 10th of the month. Hoping I'll know build date then.

Not going with running boards. I think that settles everything for me.

Still on the fence about Selenite vs Obs Black, but I've always had black cars and my work car is black, so leaning towards sticking with the Selenite.

I think Selenite looks great on this car. The contrast will make the detailing more evident with the lower front bumper design. Selenite Magno would be amazing but they aren't offering it.

Personally I don't like Black. When I had a black car I spent way too much on detailing to keep it's mirror like finish pristine.

I would recommend that you see if the dealer is willing to discuss a deal where you agree to pay a given amount over and above the invoice. That is how I ordered my 2018 GLC43. I thought this was realistic for both of us since they didn't know what the invoice would be at the time I ordered my vehicle.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I'm going to talk to the Sales Rep this week. I'll target 4 percent. Based on previous posts, I will work under the assumption of a $67,500 to $70k base. With options around $17,500, I've got a good sense of where I should be ($850/$875 per percent off MSRP).

If you negotiate hard enough, you should be able to get around 8% and any applicable fleet discounts. My local dealer stopped at 4% and I walked when they wouldn't budge.

The fact is dealers will receive limited allocations in year 1 but will be investing to ensure they get year 2 allocations, so you can push them a bit as there will likely be limited supply for the foreseeable future...

I am still going back and forth but 2% plus Fleet still remains the current indication on the table. I just don't see 8% on a GLC63 given the low allotment and exclusivity. I appreciate the feedback received but I am just not getting much traction in my discussions.

The 2018 GLC configurator just went live. I was browsing the MBUSA website and noticed that that the Nappa/Dinamica Performance Steering Wheel is featured as an option on the main GLC 43 information page. However, it doesn't show up on the configurator.

Anyone know if it'll be made available or if there was a technical error?

Hoping it's some sort of error and is just tee'd up for the 63's page. It wasn't available when I ordered my 43, bummer.. but would be even more so if they changed that now! I know it's an option for the 63 though

I'd think so too based on the (old and not final) order guide, but then if you go to the AMG-specific page for the GLC43 on the MBUSA website, it also shows the Dinamica wheel in all the featured pics.

I'm seriously hoping this comes along as a last minute surprise since I'm planning to order when I get back from my post-bar trip at the end of August.

When I go there.. granted this is on my mobile, it's the "AMG GLC SUV" site not specific to the 43 even though that's mostly what's discussed, but when looking at the footnote on the picture:

It refers to the 63. Hmmmm

Yup you're right. But then the last pic says GLC 43 (attached below) so I'm hoping that they'll still make it optional on the 43 models. If not, someone at MB needs to get it together.

Here's the deal..

I'm just going to assume it is most likely a bit of a mixup with the photos and that it will only apply to the 63 in the US... BUT, for your sake I'll hope it's a last minute change, but only for your sake, because I'll be super jealous that I didn't have that option lol.
