K-MAC Bushing Location

For anyone who has installed either the front or rear K-MAC caster-camber bushings, can you tell me which part numbers in the diagrams (below) the K-MAC bushings replace?

Also, did you do it yourself, or have the work done by a Mercedes-Benz mechanic?

Front:

Rear:

Thanks!!

I doubt most MB shops will install aftermarket parts for you. You should find a good performance shop that specializes in German cars. You're in SoCal so you have lots of good options for competent reputable performance shops.

Hi - Have set out below numbers relating to the KMAC front and rear adjuster kits on above diagrams.

Also complete background on all the adjuster kits currently manufactured for the GLC C43, C63. SEEING THAT THERE IS ONLY FRONT AND REAR TOE (DIRECTIONAL) ADJUSTMENT OEM !!

We therefore manufacture / re instate from the early 90's once again. Front Camber and Caster. Rear Camber and "extra" Toe adjustment.

ESSENTIAL - THEREBY ALLOWING TO ADJUST TIRE CONTACT ANGLES. To resolve issues such as excess edge tire wear / load. Which can also cause ruptured side walls, rim damage. Tire grabbing / squeal on full lock along with the kits providing adjustability to correctly resolve steering pull.

1. Diagram #110 - KMAC front "upper" wishbone arms "inner bushings". Camber and Caster adjuster kit provides up to 1.5 degrees Positive or Negative Camber change. More than enough to resolve most premature tire wear issues (example - inaccurate one offset position fluted bolts which are not available for this model only provide 0.3 of one degree).

Also this KMAC design has advantage of retaining the existing OEM high strength forged alloy arms. Is precise adjustment and supplied with bush extraction tool allowing fitment without need for arm removal #503316-2 J priced at $380 (set 4 both sides).

2. Diagram #100 - KMAC front upper wishbone "replacement" arms. Also precise Camber and Caster adjustable. Provides extra adjustment (up to 2.5 Pos. or Neg. Camber change) Not welded, fabricated steel but the security of hi strength forged alloy same as OEM design #503316-3 N $695 (set 2 both sides).

3. Diagram #200 and #300 - KMAC lower arm inner bushings. Set of 4 replacing the front highest wearing bushings at the same time.
KMAC patented design allows precise single wrench adjustment (and same as above kits) accurately (under load) - direct on alignment rack (up to 1.5 degrees Pos. or Neg.).
The forward facing thrust arms (Caster) are also Mono ball / 2 Axis design significantly improving brake and steering response.
Same as above upper arm bushings extraction tool supplied allowing the Camber bushes to be fitted without arm removal. #503416 K $480 (set 4 - both sides).

4. Diagram 540 - KMAC Rear lower arm inner bushes (2) for precise Camber adjustment. Diagram 450 - inner bushes replacing the existing Toe adjustable bushings. Provides twice the adjustment range to compensate for the new rear Camber addition.
Advantage of this rear kit is that to reduce the common problem of costly, premature inner edge tire wear, adjusting lower not upper arms retains important clearance top of tire to outer fender (up to 1.5 degrees Pos or Neg) #502226 K $480 (set 4 - both sides).

5. Because of many requests another kit manufactured "uprated" bushings kit for the 6 multi link rear arms (diagram #250, #350 and lower thrust arms). Less rear end twitch, flex, loss of traction Especially when applying power to lane change, overtake #502628 K $480 (set 12) includes extraction / insertion tubes.

K-MAC,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I presently have an uninstalled 502816K kit and a 502226K kit.

Is the 502816K the correct front kit for replacing the inner upper wishbone arms on a 2018 GLC 43?

Hi

As per KMAC web site (and also refer Catalog front page of web site Page 3 shows Quick Reference setting out all P/N's).

You will see your rear kit is correct P/N 502226

But front for GLC C43/63 is #503416 K - Lower arm Camber, Caster bush kit (NOTE: Caster bushes in your current kit are correct for your model).

While Front "upper" arm bush kit is 503316-2 J

Contact direct so can resolve!

Best Regards
Kevin

I just sent an email to you under the same subject heading, and included a photo of the boxes I received.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi,

Ok have checked and see that original PayPal order shows correct rear Camber and “extra” Toe kit #502226 K.

But front Camber and Caster kit #502816 K for C43 “W205”

C43 “GLC” is #503416 K

Front “Caster” adjusting bushes on GLC and W205 are the same.

So sending the correct GLC Camber bushings. You should receive next Wednesday.

Camber bushes are supplied with tool allowing these bushings to be installed without arm removal.

Kits besides now providing “adjustability” to resolve costly, premature front and rear edge tire wear by allowing to “spread tire load
more evenly”. Feedback from GLC owners is that the important, annoying issue of tire “crabbing, squeal” on full lock is also resolved.

Best Regards
Kevin
