GLC43 Coupe Downpipe Install

Have a set of Brondex catless downpipes I am looking to get installed in the next week or two. I plan to do the work myself, but am looking for any guidance/instructions/advice from anyone who may have attempted the install of some downpipes as well. I've done some searching, but unfortunately have not come across any really great instructions. Any help is appreciated!

Get back to us on how it went. I have my eyes on these downpipes too. Particularly interested in fitting (need to buy gaskets or heat shield? etc), CEL issues and of course what she sounds like after

I've been following the information posted in the "Weistec Downpipe Installation Instructions for c43amg/c450" thread on the c43 forums here. It's just a little difficult as there are no pictures to reference. Good news is I have completed all removals necessary from the top side. Tomorrow it is into the underside. 🤞 I have been taking pictures just for my reference as I'm sure it will make reinstallation a little easier.

Update.... Removed all engine side as well as under side components. Downpipes have been successfully removed. Unfortunately, the downpipes that were ordered over a year ago are not the correct part. Length is fine, the mounting flanges on the GLC are completely different however. Brondex as well as many other manufactures I have spoke with are selling C43 Downpipes claiming they will fit.... They don't. Good news is both Armytryx and Redstar Exhaust both have individually engineered pipes that do fit. I have ordered a set directly from Redstar Exhaust and am awaiting delivery. Probably going to send me ECU back to AMR in the meantime for my upgrade to Rev. 3.1 and stage 2. Subsequently I do have a brand new set of downpipes from Brondex for a C43 for sale....

Interesting. What does Brondex have to say for themselves about that? Sounds like a minefield.

Yeah, definitely a cluster. Since I bought them over a year ago, the original retailer is essentially useless. I have had to do extensive research on my own in sourcing the correct downpipes. Redstar Exhaust thus far has been awesome in answering all of my questions and concerns, as well as getting me a proper set of downpipes for my GLC 43 Coupe. I will continue to update once I have the new downpipes.

Wish there were "catted" options that were not a grip. I am not swapping out DP to pass emissions in my state.

Fully agree, luckily MN does not require emissions testing, otherwise I would not be attempting them either.

Install is on hold currently....Waiting for the downpipes from RSE. Est. Arrival is April 21st. Ready to drop them in as soon as I get them. A word of caution.... I would advise against the Brondex DP's. They sold me a set they claimed would fit my GLC, they don't! They sold me a set for a C43 claiming they would work, completely different mounting flanges. Not very pleased with Brondex, that's for sure... Check out RSE, the pix they sent me of my set before shipping look amazing, especially compared to what Brondex is selling.

Just installed Armytrix CATTED downpipes on my 2018 GLC43. I also have sport exhaust, MST air intake and RENNTech tune. Personally with the exhaust open it is as loud as I would want it to be. I have done a few draggy runs and there are definite gains. I'll post some videos if anyone is interested/

Nice. Did you get a burble tune or is that just a product of the DP's ?
You even had a fan club in the tunnel. Nice - Thanks for posting.

Hey... I just watched the video and saw a 0-60 of 4.4? That can't be right... my eurocharged stage 1 is in the 3.7-3.8 range.

Im installing dp's next week.

This is in Colorado. Elevation in this video is close to 6,000 feet.
