2024 GLC43 Android auto keeps disconnecting

2024 GLC43 Android auto keeps disconnecting
Hello all,

Is anyone else having issues whereas wireless android auto keeps disconnecting and reconnecting ?
Seems to happen often and sure if it's an issue with my phone or MBUX.?

What phone do you use? I have a Motorola wireless Android dongle in my '22 43 SUV with a Google Pixel 8 Pro, and the combo works perfectly well: AA reconnects automatically when I start the car and is super solid, irrespective of the number of stops and on-and offs.

AA updated since last month
Will try to narrow it down to what can trigger it to disconnect as maybe some other app/connection may be interfering with the wireless connection

Trying running android in safe mode, basically you bring up the power menu. You will then see the power button, instead of tapping it and then pressing again to turn off, hold it for a few seconds, it will change to a check mark and will say safe mode, tap to boot into safe mode.

Just keep in mind, in safe mode all third party and non system apps installed will not function or will be greyed out. Don't worry, all will be normal again when rebooting. Reason why I suggested trying safe mode is so we can rule out some third party apps causing the issue.

That said, I forgot if android auto is a system app or a user installed app so if it doesn't run in safe mode then forget it.

It may be due to interference. There is an area of town where wireless Android Auto will always disconnect, then reconnect once you've passed that area. Everyone I know that has wireless carplay or AA has it disconnect at this same section of town. The wireless connection works via 5 GHz wireless, and if there is a lot of interference, it will drop the connection. This happens on my AA wireless dongle, my friend's Audi with native wireless carplay, and other friends with BMWs, Toyotas, and Hyundais-- and always in the same area.

Thanks for your inputs on this ... So not sure if it's the car MBUX or phone that initiates the disconnect

I believe AA is a deeply integrated system app; it does not even show up in the app list and it cannot be uninstalled. It's built into the phone system.
