2018 GLC43 Maintenance reset weirdness

My 2018 GLC43 was telling me that a Service A was due in 30 days.
So I ordered oil and a filter from FCPEuro and changed the oil today.
The car only has 16K miles on it and I changed the oil at 6,200 miles instead of the Mercedes recommended 10K miles (I was going to do 5K miles, but time just slips away from you)
I performed all the maintenance...checked everything and changed the oil and filter.
Went into the system, held down the OK and Phone button on the steering wheel with the vehicle on the odometer screen and it took me into the maintenance screen.
I went through all the screens and reset the counter and confirmed I wanted to reset the counter.
Shut everything off, then went to restart the engine. A message pops up on the dash screen that says that Service B overdue by -3800 miles.
I go back into the maintenance screen and check the Service Data screen and sure enough, it shows remaining time is +365 days to next service (B) and -3800 miles remaining distance.

I shut off everything, start the car again and the message shows up about Service B being overdue. How can it be overdue a negative number of miles?
Is there a special place I need to go to to reset the miles as well as the time?
This is too weird.

My service indicator (2019 G550) went wacko last time I reset it. Said 365 days and 38,500 miles until next service due. I do A/B services at 5K mile intervals and ignore the indicator, as long as it's not flashing me mis-information. One would think within the vast domain of automobile technology that they could get this right.

Resolved... With a purchased tool

So, with the consensus of opinion being that issue of the maintenance reset weirdness was related to resetting it facia the car's buttons, I thought that perhaps a scam tool will fix it. In the advice of Scotty Kilmer, I purchased a Bluetooth dongle system from King Bolen https://kingbolentool.com/ that I use to work on my Jeep. I plugged it into the Mercedes and went into the system and loaded the oil reset component went through some very confusing menus and after all was said and done, the oil maintenance message is gone. And this tool is CHEAP! I got mine for $60. (They have a spin to win discount on their page so you may get it cheaper) . But like Scotty Kilmer said, it is slow.... Very very slow. It took me about half an hour to load the Mercedes components into the software and about 15 minutes to go through the menus. But it worked. So glad about that!

Well, he doesn't hate *ALL* Mercedes...he even said that there are a few he would consider buying, but yeah...Unless it's a Toyota, he doesn't have much nice to say about anything else...it's one of the reasons I like watching him...because he doesn't have much nice to say about much anything else, when he *DOES* have something nice to say about something *OTHER* than Toyota, I take notice...I've purchased several products based off his reviews. From chemicals, to tools, to scan tools...the King Bolen is the second scan tool I purchased based off his recommendation. And this is indeed a good purchase for the price! I primarily got it for my 2012 Jeep Overland, needed to recalibrate the air suspension and this tool does that...but it also works on almost any kind of vehicle. I'm going to try it on my sister's VW Tiguan to see if it also does VAG scanning. I already have a VAG scanner, but it would be nice to have a more full featured VAG scanner...

Since you use that site, you could also consider the Launch CReader Elite Benz V2.0 scanner.
