Standard with what sounds like Active Curve, which I wish was available on the 450. I'm surprised it doesn't get a brake upgrade beyond the 450 AMG Line package - same whimpy floating calipers (maybe fixed an option?). Also Summer tires and different 22" wheels than on Euro models.
Good question Greg. I need to know more about how long for availability of the “53”, how it’s configured and really need to drive the 450. Odds are I’ll stick with my order and get the 53 in 2-3 years, if at all. It’s nice that the 53 is finally seeing daylight.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

i‘m a little surprised that it’s only .3 seconds faster.
That doesn’t make sense...I meant a similar non-E-ABC!

Current GLE 400 > GLE 43 difference is $12,450; I expect similar for this iteration.

1) The F brake calipers look exactly like the AMG Line 450's except for the AMG lettering and the rotors are the same size at 400mm; 2) Fixed calipers have twice as many pistons as similar floating calipers because there is a piston on each side of the rotor; I've never heard of a two-piston fixed caliper, as it does not make any sense. You have 4 at minimum, if not 6 or 8. 3) And, that's not what fixed calipers typically look like (see 2nd pic of optional Euro 4-piston fixed calipers). So, either the vehicle pictured does not have the real brakes, or the description is messed up, IMO.
