Well just got word from the dealer that my 10/10 scheduled GLE was actually produced 10/04 and is on a train heading my way.
The VIN works on mbdecoder.com - I guess based on mine and a few other cases here, the curse has been lifted!

Anyone know the definitions for Production Status B2, B3, B4? On my order under ETA it is followed by the decade planned for the month i.e. B2-11.3 which I think is 3rd decade November ,but what does each of the codes B2, B3 B4 mean?

For mine which was produced on 10/01 (and is on the train since 10/04), the VIN still doesn't work on mbdecoder.com... Should I be concerned? :P Guess I'll find out in the next couple of days.

There was another post on here saying that it means ten days till production starts. Doesn’t seem right since mine has been in B3 status for almost two months.

Both recalls fixed today, took about 90 minutes. Talked with SA and deliveries ar improving on the 450. On the new G wagon he is telling people 18 months.

B3-X10 is basically a wait status until your car goes into production based on the decade planned. I ordered mine in early April, by the end of the month it went into that status where no changes to the configuration were allowed. Mine was scheduled for 3rd decade of August and that's when it changed into B4 status - where production began. So it sat in B3-X10 status from April end to almost 4th week of August. Once it goes in prod, depending on where you are, you can get the car in 2-3 weeks. Mine was delivered first week of Sep. Hope this helps.

Not to say you are not right but my December order went B4 in April and stayed there through August.
I have been D1 since Sept. 1

Yours is probably one of the unfortunate ones that sat in the lot waiting for parts, which is a separate issue. But yes, MB could be more forthcoming with info which has been a complaint that we have all beaten to death.

2020 Mercedes 450 with E:ABC arrived at the dealer last night, October 9, 2019 (ordered June 18, 2019). Will pick up tomorrow, Friday, October 11 or Saturday with the spoiler painted and installed. Wasn't scheduled to be built by factory until today, October 10. Asked that the dealer certify that all 6 recalls have been addressed before picking up. Will provide pictures after we pick it up.

6 Recalls? I only know of two....what are those besides the AC Drain & the Radar update.

Thanks for the info. Haven’t heard of a few of these aside for the ac drain hoses and the radar unit.

Some of those recalls were for very limited numbers and early production. The Fuel Tank covered only 128 vehicles. Your car can’t legally be sold until all Recalls are completed. The better way to check is to enter your VIN into the Data Base.

Mine built in March only had two Recalls as I mentioned previously and shows clear in a search.

I remember seeing something about this before but can't find it anymore.
The question is: shouldn't the dealerships be able to tell / track when the vehicle will be delivered to them?

AFAIK, not positively until the final steps: B5A Production completed, D50 Released to carrier, F10 Wholesaled, S40 Loaded on rail (truck) & B60 Factory invoiced.

Yes that's what I meant sorry. My dealer said the car is "showing in their inventory" since the 7th and was already "on a rail" so I imagine at this point it was already wholesaled therefore owned by the dealer now. Like ordering from Amazon, where is the tracking

As of today 10/11/19 status it’s still B4....getting ready to cancel and move on...!!!! MB has really let me down....also concerned that if I would ever get it what problems will come with it since it started in production early July and went to B4 in late July...ordered 3/14/19

Alright! To complete my saga, the car got to the dealer this morning and I picked it up late afternoon! So far so good but other than driving it home in traffic for 5 minutes in the rain, haven't had a chance to do anything in-depth.

My VIN still doesn't show up on any of the public decoder sites, I guess they need some time to catch up.

My dealer said they are showing ETA on the 14th and "a few days later to the dealership".
Looking at the other deliveries above I imagine it wouldn't be totally unrealistic to expect delivery somewhere around the 16th - 17th.
Might have to get sick afterwards... I know what I will be busy doing next weekend

EDIT: Car is in, picking up tomorrow @ 11AM!

UPDATE: Yesterday got word from dealer that it had arrived at the shop. So today I swing by just to see it since it wasn't ready for delivery. SA says everything is OK except it arrived without airmatic suspension option. %^#@%^*(&#! How is everthing OK then? I am thinking about it, but I probably won't be taking delivery of this unit. Waiting to here how long the wait would be for next batch to arrive to the country. So close yet so far. Back to the drawing board.

That sucks. Emphasizes that unless you have a very good sales rep you need to stay on top of things and check the configuration through NetStar (which takes a cooperative SA) all the way through the process.

Agreed. Problem is we don't have NetStar system and they aren't very transparent with any info here.
