Employee Discount on 2020 GLE
Does anyone know when do employee discounts for 2020 GLE go live and what would employees and their families get?

A number of supply chain shortfalls unending the GLE order process. Be sure to understand if your options are an issue. For example, a car I ordered three weeks ago expected in June, just rolled to December at best

Quick question in regards to this - what discount can be had with a control number, is it the 12.25% off MSRP I am seeing on some forums?

DE1 discount is fixed - the erson that is logging you into the system to register you for a DE1 would be able to tell you that - and tell you if GLE qualifies.. so what's your point asking here on this forum ?

That's awesome Shane, congratulations. Does it let you stack any other incentives e.g. special financing etc if currently being offered.

i didn’t ask for anything else so I’m not sure. I was worried about getting it since I had seen in the past new models were not eligible. Never hurts to ask though

Thanks...I just checked with my friend who was going to get me a control number, but she didn't see it available in the system as of just this morning.
Did you have one specifically for 2020 GLE?

I am too waiting on a control number from a friend unfortunately he is very busy atm
Great to know that the GLE is not excluded and good to see a confirmation that its 12.25% off MSRP as I expected
I was told that MB requires a "bunch of personal info" to issue the control number, and it takes a while too - @shanelewis79 @virgo99 what is your experience?

So to follow up. There is a 90 day period for using MBDEAL on new models. That is up 2 weeks from now. Just found out about that today when they processed it. No worries though, it’s being addressed

Hey thanks for the update. 90 days period meaning can't be used within the first 90 days of release and that expires in 2 weeks did I get you right?

The GLE has been eligible for MBDeal since March 1st... your dealer just doesn't want to sell one under MBDeal when he can sell it in current market MSRP (maybe 3% discount),,

Thanks but thats incorrect, based on all my research and sources and I have spent significant time into this. What’s your source?

well I’ll have to disagree here since I have the vehicle. They sold it it me only to find out it wasn’t eligible yet

My dealer just told me the control number doesn't work for 180 days after the car launched. Car launched on February 14th, so 8/14/2019 is when it'll go live I guess.
He showed me a memo from Mercedes saying it can't be used.

When an employee requests a control number they indicate the model and year the number is for. I imagine that if it wasn’t eligible, the request would not have been approved?

Employee Discount (often called Friends & Family) is different program than Fleet Discount - both use Control#'s to verify the discount - but two separate "discount" programs.
On Fleet Programs - you have a CAN# for your company - then if you meet the company's requirements you are issued a Control# (Certificate) that gets entered into your Sales Docs.
I "think" Fleet discounts on GLE are running about $500... each month the Fleet Discounts are recalculated for that month - based on # of units and # of weeks supply in the MB pipeline.
