No clue the only thing I could think of was the addition of a particulate filter? I know the 2021 911's have been held for close to a month and I'm not sure what changed from 2020. Maybe just the Government looking for some additional funding. Hope it gets release this week. EPA website shows the 2021 gle350, 450, and 63S being certified, do they do this every year?
Just a quick search on cars.com revealed over 540 SQ7's nationwide.
Had an Audi years ago and before leasing the 2018 GLC looked at Q5's and Q7's. The sales rep was totally indifferent, even to the point of taking a personal phone call while showing us vehicles. And I didn't find the interior fit and finish as well as seat comfort up to MB. But the SQ7 is an amazing car and Audi can deliver. Don't know what it is with Mercedes' supply chain. How much of a delay? My 350 was delayed a month but then completed a day or two before that month delay. I suppose the 580's sre a low volume model as opposed to the SQ7's.
It got pushed to the end of the month according to my SA. I’ve got an email to the SM and I’m waiting to hear back. At this point I want everything in writing and I’m looking for someone to contact at MB to see if my dealer is jerking my chain.
There are a bunch of SQ7 but I’m a little picky about some of my options. Otherwise I would have already walked and got a 53.
I would doubt the dealer is jerking you around. They want that sale because that's why they are in business. And as my SA (whom I trust) told me, MB doesn't necessarily respond to dealers and they find themselves in the dark. My feeling from the Audi SA was that cars were flying out the door so fast a customer really didn't matter-- particularly one who had car buying savy and would want to negotiate.

My 580 was built last week. On Friday my SA told me the 580's are not EPA certified yet and they expect that to happen Monday. After that mine will be on a truck to the dealer. Hopefully I can get it in the next week to ten days.
Last time I was told that, was on a special order 2015 GLE350 BlueTec, that was built and sent to Maryland, waiting for certification. It never happened (a year after Dieselgate) and the car disappeared from the order network after several months. Big disappointment - had to buy a CPO '14 to keep our diesel fix.
I'll bet yours won't meet that fate, and it's almost in your driveway!

The DashCam option seems to be showing up in Netstar without any notice to the Dealer. Probably happens as the software updates for a particular model are completed. The other question is when/if it will be available for cars already built.

It also happened when I ordered my 2020 GLE in early 2019. "Magic Vision Control" wasn't listed in the DOG, but it was available in NetStar. I only found out after my order locked, and wasn't able to retrofit. Not sure if the newer DOGs show this option, but I guess NetStar is always the final word.

Our 580 is built and has been released to a carrier. I am doing the paperwork Tuesday and hope to take the drive to Pittsburg to pick it up before 1-1-21.

Ya, I drove a fresh one, end of October. Black, Night Package, Air suspension only - pretty basic. No "Additional Dealer Profit," but probably no discount, either.

My son was looking for a GLE and all the local dealers where rude and acted like they where doing him a favor. I was in the process of shopping for a 2021 E63S and found the same thing. I asked on the AMG sub forum for a recommendation and Bob H. at Pittsburg Mercedes was recommended. Made a phone call and wound up buying a 2020 GLE580 last September, ordering the 2021 GLE580, and ordering a 2021 E63S with a February build. I hate spending money and getting treated like ****. Me and my son rent a car for one way, pick up the new car, and drive back. Makes for a enjoyable day.
Can anyone produce a build sheet similar to what MB does with a VIN? When I run the VIN through a decoder it makes it a little harder to read the options. The car is a used GLE that is not at a MB dealership so it doesn’t give me a dealer packet online.
