Anyone else with 2021 GLE On Order?

2022 Mercedes EQS 580
Placed an order for GLE 53 SUV on 7/1 for my wife with estimated build date the first week of October. She drove a 53 coupe to get a feeling of what the SUV will be like that the dealer had just got in. The option we really struggled on was the acoustic comfort pkg. I have that on my S550 coupe, and my cell phones (AT&T and Verizon) drop calls a lot in places our other cars don’t. Not sure if it is the window coatings, but we passed on that option. Build came to $90,445 before discounts and destination charges. She is very excited as this is her first Mercedes. (I am on my 3rd).

Ordered my 2021 GLE 53 yesterday, October build, possible delivery by end of October. They deliver fairly quickly after build complete.
BUT, still no option to add Code 21U Dashcam. Other posts indicate needing Code U19 Augmented Video as a pre-cursor for Dashcam later...possibly. You can add it to 2021 GLS but not GLE???

No option for 21U either in the GLE350. My rep double-checked and confirmed not available.
Good luck with GLE53.
I love that red/black Nappa interior and the Designo Diamond White is well worth the upgrade over the standard white.

The standard brakes work very well. If you decide on the brakes you might consider the AMG Active ride option that includes them. I think it's $5200 but as I recall the larger brakes are about half of that.

I'm only a few miles away from you in Saddle Brook. I have a 2020 lunar blue 580 order for about 8 months now. Originally was supposed to receive delivery in late April or Early May the latest. At this point it's a 2021 illusive unicorn that may present itself one day.

My 21 GLE53 has been built for over two weeks but has not been shipped because it has not been certified. The 2020 GLE53 is the same vehicle, why do they have to ré-certify these 21 model.

Just got update on my GLE350W4. Originally 3rd decade August. Scheduled for Sept. 25. Rep says all of their MY21 rescheduled to September as apparently they will continue to build MY20 through August.

i actually ordered this car at the end of Jan. with the understanding , I would get the 1st 21 GLE53 allocation. The original build date was first decade of April. Then COVID-19 and the rest is history.

I ordered my GLE 53 in December, at the beginning of January I was told that I got a production slot in May. Then COVID-19 came and in May I was told that the car is scheduled for production during May-July. At the beginning of August I asked again about the status of the car and I was told that the car is in production but it does not have a VIN yet and 21 August is the date of 'Final inspection'. I don't know if dealers in Europe has access to less information than dealers in US, but this is the only info I could get from the dealer. So I'm waiting for August 22 to ask again

Still not optimistic even these revised dates can be sustained. There are simply too many variables including rising cases in Alabama not to mention supply chains. All I can do is laugh to my rep and say that there is nowhere to drive anyway.

For me, I put my phone on the wireless charging pad which also acts as a "external" antenna for the phone and improve the cellphone signal.

So we ordered our GLE350 May 18th as a 2020 because they weren’t taking orders on the 21s at the time. We didn’t know they would accept 21 orders in June. Anyway, our original build date was supposed to be 8/20. I talked to my salesman earlier this week and it was pushed back a week to 8/28. I am so confused because some have mentioned their 21 build date to be around the same time mine is and mine is a 20. When I asked him about switching and ordering a 21 he said delivery wouldn’t be until November earliest and could be January depending on how fast the factory can produce them. I know each dealer’s deli every depends on the order list through that dealer. I just don’t understand how they draw the line between the 20s and 21s especially since my build is August 28th now. Anyone really know how this works?

As I had written, my dealer said that MB has pushed 21 builds into September and will continue to build MY20 through August. Could be for any or all of the reasons stated above.

Placed an order for a 2021 GLE 350 4matic on August 3rd. Told that expected delivery end of November to begining of December. This will be our 2nd GLE for our 2nd home. Guess I really like the new GLE.

EPA is working so should not be major delay in certification. At least is the gle350 and 450 (not certain about 580) seems from what I could see in the dealer order guide a few cosmetic changes plus some options have become standard equipment. Not terribly distressed at being pushed back a month. By the way, started thinking about x5 phev as backup. Fell out of love quickly with last bimmer. But learned that on a lease bmw does not kick back the federal tax credit. Mercedes credits it on lease of glc350e. Must purchase x5 45e and take the credit on income tax. On the 45e it is the full $7500
