Illuminated running boards only one side

Just picked up our new 2020 GLE 350 a couple of days ago. The illuminated runningboards only illuminate on the driver side. There do not even appear to be lights installed on the passenger side running board. Not even holes where the lights should be. The sales person confirmed that there are no lights installed on the passenger side but says she thinks it is supposed to be illuminated only on the driver side. I find that unlikely but I can’t find anything in a Google search. Can anyone with a 2020 gle confirm that the illuminated runningboards illuminate on both sides? Thanks.

YES - of course Illuminated Running Boards mean both sides - or it would be called Illuminated Running Board (no S) - well at least you found your Salesperson is a Idiot - just book a Service Appt - Service will need to diagnose - they file with MB - and then order correct parts in - frack the salesperson,

I assume I know what “frack the salesperson” means and I agree. That seems like a big WTF happened moment at MB too.

It does seem like a pretty big mistake at the factory. Interestingly, I spoke to my salesperson and she said she checked another GLE on the lot and that it also had lights on only the drivers side. That's why she assumed it was supposed to be that way.

Look - this has NOTHING to do with your Salesperson - you are wasting your time, really -call and book a Service Appt - Service has to check-in your MB - diagnose the problem - then upload to MB - and order parts - and on your 2nd appt when the parts come in your MB is fixed for free...next...

The salesperson should be able to facilitate whatever questions need to be asked, and help with a resolution. Especially now that M-B has "combined" their Concierge staffs at Dealerships with Sales and / or Service Advisors.
