Remote start problem (Maybe my house is out of coverage area?)
Verizon has no real coverage here, AT&T is fine.
is that likely the cause of my problem?
thanks for any help!
MB Customer Support told me when I brought home my new GLE that I might have to wait a few days for all of the Mercedes computers to talk with each other before remote functions would work.
When my GLE is in my garage, it can't get a signal from AT&T, and sometimes outside my garage it still can't get a signal so the remote functions don't work.

Being "inside a garage" shouldn't affect cell coverage all that much, I wouldn't think.
I'm in a rural area with poor cellphone signals. Being inside a garage when you are in a poor coverage area makes a big difference. In my family room, I get one bar on my AT&T cellphone and the signal is not good enough for an internet connection. In my garage, I get zero bars, and my GLE can not get a signal from AT&T. When I had my Audi, it also could not get an AT&T signal inside the garage.

I thought they used a satellite signal.
Does that make SOS inactive if AT&T can't find you?

The only things that use satellite signals are the SiriusXM receiver and the GPS receiver in the navigation system.
SOS does not work if your GLE can not connect to the AT&T cellular network or to AT&T's roaming partners.
