I can't believe it ... the only silver lining that I can think of is that it broke down before you made any of the upgrades you were planning. I hope the service manager and the sales team does something to make this right, though right now it's hard to imagine anything that would erase the incredibly negative experience you've had.

I’ll try to get some videos up.
I doubt I want it back this time.
Stay tuned.
I only have 200 miles on my GLE 450. So far so good, but I always think about your problems and I hope I don't get them. I know it will be a long before you trust your car if ever. Hopefully they find something definitive.

Yes. I was actually going to call today and set stuff up so it must be fate. The dealership is doing what they can right now. The GM has already called me back and working to get things set up for a proper loaner and anything else we need.
But still nothing from MB customer support Jeffery the Executive Referral Manager. Not even a follow up since to make sure things have been going well. So right now the dealership has been trying their best but MB customer support is WORTHLESS!

Terribly sorry to hear this - feels like you should be looking at a buyback at this point. Just not right that a $100K car doesn't perform at the most basic level.

If its anything major, I doubt I want it back.
Stay tuned.
So the service department witnessed the bounce mode effect? If so, what did they say?

The only difference I have noticed is the “charge-air pressure.” (I assume that is reading the turbos.) Usually I drive so slow that they hardly ever come on at all in that indicator but this time I was still driving very slow and they were still going up (I have it in another video). I assume the turbos were trying to add more power for the engine not being able to. Maybe?
As for the dealership. They are really trying their best. The GM called me within an hour of dropping the car off. They did also see the car messed up and rode with me around the parking lot while is was shaking and the CEL was on. Even in park the car was actually bouncing slightly.

Oh man, i sure hope they find the issue! I've been in a vehicle that did this (not MB), and was related to a bad front tire alignment after rotating them but I highly doubt this is the issue you are facing.

Thanks, that makes sense. I have only seen the charge-air pressure above 0 once or twice. Despite having purchased my GLE on December 8th, I haven't cracked 500 miles yet, so I've been pretty conservative. I also have it on a CTEK battery tender to keep the battery(ies) alive.

No. They have pulled a fuel sample every time and even a few times during the tests.
I always try to fill up at Costco too and this car has had nothing but Costco gas. I say that because our AMG gets the same gas (Usually back to back) and it’s fine.

Honestly since I picked up my GLE last week I haven't been on as much but it has been suspiciously quiet lately 🧐

I’ve been on vacation in Disney this week and haven’t kept up. The car was moving and starting yesterday about 30 times from what I could see on the app. Tomorrow is 30 days. They know I’m on vacation, rented me a Yukon, and haven’t bothered me.

Looks like good potential for manufacture buyback.

Quick update. I’m at 38 days in service now. I’m trying to get Mercedes-Benz USA to buy the car back and if we can work a deal I will get back into another one. But after 3 Mercedes Customer Service Referral Managers and slow responses, they sure are making it extremely hard to work with them.

I could be wrong but I think my Dealer SA mentioned that they actually initiated the Buy Back procedure for the customer. That’s the way they are trying to get me new seats. If I understand you to mean that you are making the request...you might ask them to do it at a higher level cutting out the lower level Mercedes contacts and maybe some “red tape”.

The dealer is involved too. But even their MB rep is slow to respond to them. I’m trying to do both at the same time so neither can say well you should have done this or that. Or later down the road MB comes back and says, well according to the owners manual you have to do it this way.
They all have just a few more days and then legal help is getting hired.
