350 Eco Mode Boost
I have noticed under a light acceleration, maybe 30 to 40 mph, if I switch the car from Comfort mode to Eco mode, it feels like the car just picked up 15 hp. I am not pressing on the accelerator any more than I was, and have watched the transmission, it doesn't downshift, but a very noticeable power boost occurs.
Just an observation, not a problem...but a definite curiosity. Wondering if anyone else with the 4 cylinder has noticed this.

I would guess it has to do with the transmission shift points and the level of RPMs each performance mode is set to. You should have the same experience when changing from comfort to sport. At least that is what I understand you're saying without testing it.

After reading earlier comments on this topic, I always use ECO mode. I actually wish that ECO could be my default mode , it cannot. The initial reason for my switching to ECO was to eliminate the hard downshifts and provide a more pleasurable ride which it does. I also like when the GLE goes into a glide mode, it does save a bit on fuel which is currently through the roof thanks to Putin.

Although I never researched the reason, I figured it had to do with either throttle mapping or behavior of the turbocharger. Overall the car is simply more enjoyable in eco mode.
