2021 GLE 450 Spare Lug Nuts Are Missing
My mom got stranded with a flat tire in her 2021 GLE 450. I came out to change it, and found that the lug nuts for the original tire don't fit the spare. I've been reading through comments on this site, and that seems to be an issue.
However, here is my problem - the spare tire's specific lug nuts should have been included in the car.
I found the lug nuts online (Wheel Bolt - Mercedes-Benz (000-990-44-18)), but shouldn't they be included already? Luckily she got stuck very close to home, and we had to tow it to the dealer, long story...but if this had been on the freeway or somewhere not safe?
I called the dealer and the service guy didn't even know what I was talking about.
So questions:
1. should they have been included, and if yes, where would they be found?
2. is the above part number the right one, and if yes, where would I store them in the car? just throw them in a zip lock bag and keep them in the glove compartment?
3. should I expect to have something like this for the spare, a kit?
Thanks everyone in advance for your help!

Second, I'm glad to hear that they should have been included, thanks for confirming that!
Third, here are some pictures, no lug nuts, but there is a space in the foam insert that looks empty...maybe that's where they're supposed to be?
I included some pictures, hope they help.
Spare tire view before removal
Foam insert (fyi, nothing under the glove)
Empty space in foam insert.
Thanks again!
For what it's worth, mine is the flower-shaped bolt (AMG Night Package with 21") so I have the conversion socket handy in the trunk.
I'm not sure what you mean by "flower-shaped bolt (AMG Night Package with 21")", but the main tires had a longer bolt it seems, plus the bolt had a ring as well.
Hope that helps.
Appreciate the reply.
They're normally five bolts inside of a long plastic resealable bag and go in that empty space you noted.

Easiest way would be to go to the dealership/service center and ask them for a set.
Some online sources:
https://mbparts.mbusa.com/oem-parts/...l-bolt-9904818
https://www.ebay.com/itm/354587768083
I wish the MB parts website was more clear, but that ebay listing has a picture of the pack of bolts with the same part number. So it should be for the whole pack.

Ask your Salesperson to order them, probably by VIN.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were misplaced during Prep. Or, also likely is that another Salesperson gave them to their customer.
In any case, they should be free to you.

(EDIT: ah, just saw your note of "not included", will call them anyway, it seems they don't really know what's included and not...thanks again!)

Good luck, both with the bolts, and with future flats.
