GLE Caliper Swap
I'm a new owner of a 400d over in the UK and love the car but the front calipers look pretty crap (perform OK though). Most other models in the Merc range have a nice looking 4 piston type caliper - even the GLC/C-class etc.
I know the GLE63 brakes and discs would fit, but has anybody ever explored a caliper swap from a more regular model with a 4-piston caliper? These are normally available at a much more sensible price and would provide ample performance.
I'll do a bit of digging on this myself - but if somebody has already done the hard work that could be great

What I mean is a lot of the Mercedes cars from 'lower' in the model range use a nicer looking 4 piston fixed caliper, which isn't the full on 6 piston AMG unit but still looks nice.
I wondered if there was any cross compatibility between the models which would allow one of these types of caliper to be fitted to the W167 GLE without going for the full hog AMG 6 pots.
