Brake kit parts
I’m so frustrated with my dealers and on site parts. I have a 2020 gle350 with amg nite option and tires : Pirelli Scorpion Zero A/S 275/45R21, and Pirelli Scorpion Zero A/S
315/40R21.
Dealer doesn’t want to give part numbers unless we have brake job done there , and on line parts for oem parts all give different answers.
Does anyone have the specs for rotors, pads, and hardware for this config for oem parts? Big thanks

Hopefully someone will chime in but you can call any dealership in the US and they'll give you the info. BTW, the southern charm is real, ie most helpful.

go to another dealer, you can get the parts for you GLE via your Vin number. of course with all the computer mess that went on the past few weeks their probably pretty stressed out having to do stuff on Paper for now.

More often than not, it is an inside job (former staff). Or, for instance some years ago WatchGuard (every security device) world wide had massive issues on the same week Russia invaded Ukraine. Oddly, most of the Govt. in Ukraine was using WatchGuard UTM................

Hey lastly what you can do is actually go and order all the parts from the dealer. If they have them in stock or will be delivered in a few days. They then will give you a invoice that will have all your part #s there. You can return the parts or cancel the order if you wish at any time however you will have your information you need. Its more of a effort but that will work.

Don't use the old brake pad guides. Replace them with the new ones that come with the pads and apply a dab of brake grease on the guides. Do NOT get any on the disc. Just a light smear is enough. and use new brake pad sensor. don't reuse the old one even if it is still intact.

Sooooooo on all the countless other forums I have been and am currently involved in, this is where the frustrated guy who couldn't find the info posts up the part numbers/information for others to use and find in the future. That way the forum FINALLY becomes a useful treasure trove of usefulness! Although that sounds sarcastic, it's not. I just find it incredible stuff like this is not readily available here as this is why automotive forums were started in the first place.

Zeus, don’t worry as I have seen this affliction you have before and have seen affordable shoe horns at the dollar stores. As another member kindly suggested, I worked with a southern dealer and after supplying vin he provided the info. What he did caution is that just going by the year and model of the car (ie gle350), I’d have gotten incorrect parts by looking for them at on line parts sources. So posting the info would have done a disservice to fellow members by them perhaps having bought all the materials, sitting there with wheels off, and then realizing the parts don’t match. But I’d be happy to DM you the list if still interested
oh, and pls use that shoe horn to help ease that foot out of mouth condition going forward .sometimes just being kind works best.

You are absolutely correct one could end up with the wrong parts if they don't know what they have. Different parts on different trims WITHIN a model and even within a trim depending on build date. Again, forums originally were formed to share information and educate. Seems these days snide comments are about all they are good for. Guess we BOTH just proved that regardless of intention. It's interesting you call me out for suggesting you post your findings and yet your first post was asking for the same information. Odd? I'd not assume your information would be applicable to my wife's 450, but may apply to someone else. I'm a grandpa and everything is NOT about me.
