I own GLE year 2021, 49000km

In 2023 I was having problem with auto driving mode because of blurry camera, few weeks after I was having Anti Theift error and got PCB replaced

After those 2 error here are another ones which are unsolved and looking for your feedback if anyone had similar issues

1. HUD display is moving automatically to position 0 after setting it to position lower (-2) after restart of car

2. Navigation is moving automatically up down left right without touching it and of course cant be used for driving

Please help as I assume that Merc service dealer will not have proper solution

too many problems with such expensive car

Is there an object that is rubbing on your touchpad? Maybe a cable or your hand?

 

No, nothing, its all clear and works fine when typing/scroling.

 

Try holding down STAR 🌟 and TEL buttons together until your display goes blank, this is just a restart of MBUX.

For your HUD, try creating a new driver profile and setting up the HUD position to see if it saves it with a new profile, just as a test.

For the navigation issue, no other screens have this weird movement issue?

For navigation moving I was already at Mercedes dealer, they just did update and it worked fine for 2 weeks, after that, problem appeared again.

Only navigation has weird movement, when you are in other menus like telephone, radio, settings etc all works fine. What I have also noticed is that system drop out message “New gesture detected” few times a day.

 

The gesture is part of the interior assistant. See here:

I did test related to “wildta” message and I have disabled Interior assistant and navigation starts to work as it should. It so weird that Interior assistant is making problems to navigation. I will keep it off as it not represent any huge benefit for me but in long run it should work with turned on. Probably we are having some software conflict. Is there any with similar experience?

That is odd. I'd let the dealer know. You're not missing much by turning it off. This video does a better job describing the full functions of the interior assistant feature:

 

I had extactly same issue after replacing the overhead anti theft module. I went back to the dealer and they did a recalibration for the interior assistant and the problem was solved

 

My problem is that after replacing the HUD, the HUD display of my Mercedes needs to be adjusted to the left, about 5mm. How can I do this? The dealer says that this can no longer be adjusted.

 

I stumbled upon some settings that will help you. You’ll find it when you activate the ‘secret’ menu on the dash. It’s the one where you can reset the service light or put the rear brake on service mode. I forgot the name of it. There is a section within that will move the hud and adjust the focus.

Glad to hear it. Please do send the video to your dealer so they can help future customers. My dealer wasn't aware of these adjustments either but they appreciated the solution, and they've done some free work for me since (out of warranty) like standstill adaptation.

1. If you have your radio off/muted before turning off the car, the next time you turn on your car, it will remember that it was muted/off. It used the last setting.
2. MP3 is most common. I just use Spotify and stream it via Android Auto.

I am having this same issue in a 2023 GLE450. They replaced overhead control unit and touch pad with no success. Movement stops if they disconnect overhead control unit / turn off the assist.

Did they ever find a solution for you?

They dont know how to solve the issue, at the end we disabled interior assistant and it stopped moving. Its not long term solution but I have enough playing on my car without success
