Canada included in US GLE Sat NAV?
Have a 2025 GLE 450 purchased and registered in PA. Will be visiting Canada (Toronto area) every few months for the foreseeable future. Does the US registered GLE Sat Nav include Canadian roads?

I drove my 2025 GLE 450 from Portland to Vancouver BC couple of times and used it all over BC. No issues and I downloaded nothing. Just switched HUD from miles to KM. I’m assuming Toronto will be same?

There is a base map that is included with your vehicle. You are right in that in most cases the OP should be fine but if you want the latest map changes then you'll have to initiate it.

I am confused is there a choice of US and Canada maps of a certain area? As I remembered that you need to choose your home region on the Mercedes Me site, then MB uses that region to base the OTA map updates on. Is such the same for both MBUX 1.0 and MBUX 2.0?

My 21 cabriolet has a home region. My 24 GLE does not. It’s supposed to be based in your location. So far, I haven’t received an update in almost a year.

Thank you for your reply, I was curious if there are differences between a pre-facelift GLE with MBUX 1.0 and facelift GLE with MBUX 2.0 when it comes to these map updates, not the 2021 COMAND NTG 5.5 the cabriolet C have, I do appreciate the reply though.

You have to connect your vehicle to an internet source such as an iPhone hotspot or WiFi connection in order to download updates. Or you can purchase the Mercedes data plan.

That is what I thought as well but my local maps were still @2023, even though I had Automatic Updates selected.
I just downloaded and updated the "Texas" Map, now it shows local maps @2025.
Everyone might want to check to ensure you have the latest version of your local Navigation Map.

What do you have set for your internet source? Mercedes has made this as difficult as possible. Mine didn't download updates until I set my car to connect to my house WiFi or my iPhone hot spot. I recently bought the data plan. That should take care of connectivity issues (we'll see).

The best/easiest way is to do a manual download and install. I check the website every month or so for new maps.

The 2025 versions just started rolling out about a month ago, so they should be arriving at your car any day.
But the automatic download only my does your designated home region.
The maps are only renewed annually.

"No vehicle has been selected.
Please select a vehicle and reopen this page."

Even though I click "Vehicle Selection", which goes to my car, it still says the above when I reload.
What am I missing? I haven't been able to download complete US maps for a couple of years.
I've cleared cookies, and even used another browser - no luck.

There are two ways to log in, I think. In German of course.
One is with a password, and the other is with a text where you verify a string of numbers.
Whichever way you used, log out, close the browser and log in with the other one.
