2016 GLE350 Hitch
Hi Guys,
I have a 2016 GLE350 without active curve suspension. And I want to add a hitch so I can install bicycle rack.
Dealer gave me these part numbers
166-310-02-00, cross member - $1270.00
166-310-01-18, Longitudinal member - $411.73
166-310-02-18, Longitudinal member - $411.73
Parts alone are $2093.46 before installation.
Any suggestions?
Thank

That's what I found with a quick search. I'm sure there might be others with some more info or advice if you ask on their threads.
Good luck.

Sure - we just had a Curt hitch installed on a GLE - no wiring - at UHaul. Total price installed was $318.
There is a small "noise" vibration in the rear after that install - my tech's will put it up on a rack in the morning to track that down.

A local store, "Rack N Road Car Racks" in San Jose told me that after market hitch like etrailer or hidden hitch will void the factory warranty.
Do you guys know if this is valid statement ?

Installing an aftermarket part does not unilaterally void your vehicle's warranty. However, a warranty claim can be denied if a part fails due to the whatever you installed. For example, you install aftermarket lowering springs and a week later, the driver's window stops working. One thing has nothing to do with the other. However, let's say the shocks prematurely wear out, then that can attributed to the springs you installed.
