Is it possible to upgrade the seats to massage seats . If not , do you guys recommend any good quality massager for car seat.

In short, no. It's a completely different seat internally and externally. The seat adjustments are controlled via the rotary knob/touchpad and are displayed on the LCD.

You;d be disappointed with massage seats because they really aren't massage.

I concur. Not much to message seats. I'd probably find some place else to spend my money.

I agree with this to an extent. If you're buying them thinking that they are going to be like you're at the spa getting a hand massage, you will be sorely disappointed.

However, I think on long trips, when you're back gets tired from sitting in the same position, they are a welcome change for your back. I don't think that you would want them to be shiatsu massage type massgers anyway, since it could be distracting while you're driving...

Don't forget multicontour seats give much more adjustment options than the standart ones, the massage is not the only plus. Concerning the eventual upgrade from standart to massage seats - 100% impossible.

It IS possible....but not sure if anyone locally can do it and $$$

MBenzNL has this documented and do it in Europe.
They have access to software/equipment dealers have (and more) and do these type of conversions for MB dealers.

It's very much like those massaging chairs at Sharper Image. If you like those, you will like the Mercedes multi contour "massage" function. It does not have all the same functions as the S Class seats, i.e. no "hot stone massage" etc.

Cool that someone here bought the multicontour seat with massage. You can definitely get them for any GLE model. I thought it was the best seat I ever tried! I tried this seat out at a dealership in a not moving car. I know some of the additional settings are adjusted on the screen but forgot if the basic ones are still set by the switches on the doors and is the lumbar settings on the bottom side like the regular seats. Can you confirm? Also, can you adjust any of the screen setting adjustments like side bolsters, etc and massage type while you are driving? Need to know these answers before purchasing since I can't try it out again because none are now available at any dealer nearby.
