Tire Upgrade Question? (Size: 265/50R20)
Hi everyone, im planning on upgrading my rims from 19” to 20” and the tire size I was thinking of using was 265/50 (R20). I was wondering if anyone has this combination rim and tire size for the W166? Would it have clearance ? Full turns without touching…
Doing research I found on Wheel-Size’s website the default tire size for 20” rims is 265/45 and although I’d like the look of that profile I’d much prefer a better ride and go with 265/50 as googling the two seems to have made a difference for MLs in ride quality surprisingly….

I have 20" I'm running Michelin's Pilot Sport All Season 4, 108Y XL 265/45ZR20. 265/45/20 is an odd tire size and there expensive and don't have much options like the other tires size. I only run Michelin's on my Benz and previous Benz's. For my other non Benz's vehicles I run Continental's.

I have 20" I'm running Michelin's Pilot Sport All Season 4, 108Y XL 265/45ZR20. 265/45/20 is an odd tire size and there expensive and don't have much options like the other tires size. I only run Michelin's on my Benz and previous Benz's. For my other non Benz's vehicles I run Continental's.

I've been running Falken Wildpeak AT 265/50/20 on my ML as my summer setup for 3 years now Airmatic suspension, I've never had the tires touch the wheel wells or anything on the car.

Note that your speedometer will read somewhat low; you'll be going faster than it says you're going.
