I was just told by my dealer that they are not making a 2020 coupe. They are stopping for 1 year and coming out with an all new 2021 coupe. My dealer offered me what he said was a good deal to trade in my "17" coupe for a "19". I told him i'm waiting for the 2020, that's when he told me that I need to wait till 2021. The "19" is no different than my "17". Not worth swapping my car for a "19" and giving them 25K.

I do find it interesting that you can still build a GLE43 on the MB site. I wonder why they haven't taken it down, if they are not going to offer any in 2020?

My dealer has 2020 GLE350's on their lot right now.

As a side note, I don't know that I can ever get used to the "dash" in the GLE. I am not a fan of the "Hey I found these two i-Pad mini's laying around in the closet!! Let's put them together and make a dash out of them for the GLE!" <everyone cheered and thought it was a grand idea>

I assume the 2021 GLE Coupe interior will look very similar to the 2020 GLE450 (not coupe). There are many youtube reviews for the 2020 GLE450, e.g.

As a side note, last June, while on holiday, I drove for 10 days an Audi Q8 (diesel, mild-hybrid engine) with a digital dashboard. I got used very quickly to the digital dashboard - and to the infotainment touchscreen - and ended up liking it. Even VW offers digital dashboards on some models: time will tell if it's a trend that many car manufacturers will follow.

You and I both. I'll never buy the next gen of this car if it features that dash. Now, a completely redesigned model for 2021 is something I'm excited about. Still loving my 2017, so it's going to take a lot to divert my attention from what I already have.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the idea of the digital dash, and I think that it is the future.

The LOOK of the dash in the GLE is terrible. It looks like a total afterthought...

2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé World Premiere
All of the speculation can now end. Here it is in the flesh. The world premiere video was just released 6 hours ago. This is the GLE 53 Coupe. This 2021 model is slated for release in early to mid 2020. This is sounding like the replacement for the GLE 43 Coupe.

seem like has a same build and lighting with GLE 350 2020. Planning to switch to new GLE coupe because my 2018 coupe has couple issue and dealer could not detect what wrong and the issues below are not happen frequently.
1. Some rattle or little noise when accelerate after a stop.
2. Slow down to brake with rough or not smooth.

Exactly the same boat here. My '17 is up at year end. I'd just keep it if the only option is a '19 with no changes.
Asked the dealer if he could extend my current to get me into the new 53. He told me it will be at least this time next yr before its available (probably lying).

Btw, drove a ludicrous Telsa X. With 7 up 0-60 in 2.7!! And felt very solid doing that with excellent handling due to the low cog. Being an AMG owner (lovin the growel) through I'd hate it but no. Thankfully the interior quality and styling of the car suck or AMGs days would be numbered...
