20000 service came back and doors keep locking
and return or just hop out to open a back door all the doors are locked. How do I switch it back to "keep doors unlocked" position?

Don't know if this is your issue, but I've re-thought how I carry my key.
The only thing I can think of that might change, is they normally replace the key battery with each service.
Maybe open and close the battery compartment and see if anything changes? Process of elimination....
Good luck.
Been carrying the key same way for 2 years and no problem. I tried the remove cover thing but to no avail. I also went into the menu and clicked on and off the "lock doors" in the menu.
...and still it persists.

someone here would have an easy "just do this" kinda solution.

Maybe someone else has an idea and will offer better advice. Interesting and strange problem.
Good luck!
1ST - YOU NEED TO LOCK YOUR CAR, PERIOD.
2ND - I HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE TRUNK OPENING UP.
TURNS OUT THAT THIS BOTTON IS SENSITIVE, SO WHEN YOU SHOVE IT IN YOUR POCKET OR BRIEF CASE
IT WILL POP OPEN THE TRUNK, IF HIT THE RIGHT WAY.
LOCK THE CAR AND PUT YOUR KEYS DOWN ON A TABLE WHEN YOU GET HOME,
AND ALL SHOULD BE WELL THEREAFTER.

It also doesn't work if you are just Out and Around, such as dining or shopping.
To your Keys on the Table idea, I've seen threads that claim that the car will sense a key proximity and never go to sleep, hastening battery drain. And the solution is to keep the key 100' from the car to prevent the "sleeplessness."
Do you or anybody else have input on that?
I know my awakens when I approach with keys, and doesn't if I arrive without the key.

You can test this out, leave they key nearby but unmoved (not sure how long) and the car will not respond. I've also done this with the key sitting in the cup holder while I'm cleaning out the interior, or sitting in a parking lot, when I'm ready to set off again, the car won't see the key until I physically move the key.
