My new Steel Gray GLK with picture
Here is a picture of my new GLK. Steel Gray. Base model, 4matic, 19" wheels, and UMI. This is the US model and we just picked it up yesterday. We did not want the sunroof or the sports package with all the pot holes in New Jersey. It is so quiet that it is hard to tell if it is running at all. The UMI will take some getting used to, but the voice on the navi sounds like Allison Steele so thats what we call the navi. I have also decided to name this car the Nightbird in her honor.

Where in NJ are you? What dealer and how much? I'm in Northen NJ too, right by Hudson. And agree on NJ roads, that's why I'm going SUV route to begin with.

Congratulations on the new ride, Tom, and thanks for posting the pic.
I was at a dealership today and dug into a Steel Grey GLK they had on the lot. The more I see that color, the more I like it.

Can you take some more pictures of the UMI interface??
I am considering upgrade my C300 w/ UMI and would really appreciate if you can get some picts of the LCD w/ maps, roads, etc..

Thanks for the link, I guess the stock 5" LCD is okay for the job, not as nice as the full color 7" LCD that MM package has, but decent enough..
The only question I have now is regarding BT audio streaming..
If I use the BT audio streaming feature and play music from my Nokia N85, will I still be able to use BT phone feature that my C300 has??
I don't know if the BT in UMI is a seperate device or is it intergrated w/ the BT phone system..
Since my phone can only pair with 1 device at the time, if the UMI BT is a seperate device..than I think it might be problematic..

I believe the UMI integrates with the car's bluetooth system. I have yet to try that feature. I'll give it a go and see what I get. I have an N95 but I don't keep my music in it. The UMI has a usb port and I just plug in a usb stick with my selections in it and plays just fine. Steering wheel or the comand controller works for selecting songs & albums.
