Front License Plate
I live in Florida where we don't have front license plates. I am in the process of moving to another state that requires that. When I purchased my vehicle the dealer gave me the black plastic base of the front license plate. I want to place it on my car but I have no clue how to do so, I called the dealership and a guy just told me it clips right in. Can someone help me confirm where it should clip and if it does need drilling (cause the guy just answered me really fast and i don't know if he knows what he is talking about).
Thanks in advance

I think you have to drill the holes in the bumper. At least that's how it is on most of the cars, not sure if MB is different. I was debating whether to ask my dealer not to drill holes, but don't want to risk in NJ as plates are required. You can also do something different with the plate (location on the bumper wise) What state are you moving to? Maybe they are not strict there.

Colorado, I called the dealer today and they told me to come over and they will install it. I want to see the guy who told me it just clips in and clip it on his face

on the back of the bracket there are 2 tabs that have to be flaten down. the screws that mount the bracket are the same that hold the plate to the bracket. the lower bottom clips on the plastic grill. the dealer used what looked to be 1" to 1"1/2 screws.

do they use a drill or just a screwdriver to make the holes??

just a cordless drill to screw the screws in. they didn't actually drill any pilot holes or anything. i'm sure a regular screwdriver would work, it's just plastic.
