Picked up the white GLK instead. I had only seen 5 or 6 before grabbing mine, but it seems to have picked up since then. Unfortunately I see more and more, particularly in white. I'm in the West Island of Montreal... it seems like more of a suburban vehicle anyways.
On a side note, I was recently in Germany. When I was in Munich I was shocked at the number of Audis, BMWs, and MBs on the street. Of course I know it's German, but I was surprised at how many people could afford the lux vehicles. So many more engine options down there though. Far fewer 600, 500, 550, or 350 engines.
I did see a GLK320CDI. So jealous!!! I even saw an E200... I wonder how underpowered that thing must be!
German love affair with fast, well-handling cars probably exceeds what exists in North America. Especially since they can (legally) drive them at their speed potential. Time and time again the auto safety organizations and insurance companies have sponsored proposals to limit the autobahn speeds to 130 km/hour (80 mph) but they are consistently rejected by the politicians who know it would be political suicide. The compromise is that most German states recommend 130 max but it's not mandatory unless posted for other reasons.
BTW, as I write this, mid-grade gas (same as US premium) costs $7.22/gal. So when you're blasting down the autobahn at 200 km/hour (124 mph), it's getting right into your pocket.

I guess everyone in Canada has the AWD and cargo cover but no hill assist (no offroad package) and no interior ambient lighting with the leather package?
