New member saying hi and sharing pics
hi all, since i'm new to glk's and the forum, i thought i'd say hi and introduce my essentially stock glk
i've done a few minor things to it: removed the glk350 badge, smoked the rear bumper reflectors, added "6000k" LEDs inside and out (eyebrows, markers, license plate, and back up), and added 6000k HID low beams (the pics make them look bluer than they actually are)
but now i really want to find some wheels!

thanks 3stars! yeah i normally would not do that either, but i had it really clean for the first time since i bought it, so i hadddd to take pictures lol, i did have a couple people with me though, and my dog
amaxm, i'm kind of back and forth between gainesville and ft. myers, and a little bit of miami, but as you know, there's not a lot in gainesville other than UF, so i drove down to ocala car audio to have the HIDs installed

thanks, all of the LEDs are from ijdmtoy, they're all easy to install, the markers are the trickiest simply because of their inaccessibility
these three work perfectly with no errors:
eyebrows AND markers (order 2 of these since there's a total of 4 bulbs): https://store.ijdmtoy.com/ProductDet...Free_T10_SKU27
license plate: https://store.ijdmtoy.com/ProductDet..._HP_T10_SKU300
All interior lights (front map, front dome [rear view mirror], vanity, rear dome, glove box, cargo area, and truck door): http://store.ijdmtoy.com/SMD-LED-Doo..._t10_sku11.htm
I originally ordered these (http://store.ijdmtoy.com/38-SMD-T10-...10_sku_c02.htm) for the back up lights, they DO throw an error, so DON'T try them...i am returning them and instead i am trying these, they'll be here tomorrow and they say they're error free: http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...87987-1-2.html
and while i'm at it, in case anyone likes the smoked/blacked rear bumper reflectors, here's what i used...it came out really well, it's just a tinted clear paint, so it goes on glossy, which looks great, it still functions as a reflector, you control how smoked it is, i wanted it dark since my car's black, so i did about 8 passes: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/1/1...art-sp999.html

Sounds good, thanks!
Also, which ones did you use for your fog lights? Do you have the Xenon white or the ultra blue? How do they compare to the stock halogens, and how do they match up color wise with the stock xenons?

the fogs are stock, i was thinking about changing them to HID, but i kinda like the contrast between the HID/LED headlight lamps and the fogs
and rmfnla, you're damn right

Welcome!
Looks clean, I like it.
Few questions:
Did you take the reflectors off and just sprayed them with the product you linked in your earlier post? Any sanding, etc?
Also, for your turn signals, when you turn does the bulb in the corner blink amber while the eyebrow light blinks xenon white? I can't tell in your Front LED picture which lights are on if its the eyebrow or corner turn signal that stays on normally and blinks?

thank you!
yeah i just popped them out, cleaned them with alcohol, made a few passes until they were as dark as i wanted, let them dry for about 2 hours, and then popped them back in. once they dried, they're as glossy as before, just darker
the eyebrow contains two different lights: a marking light and a turn signal, i only replaced the marking light, so when your turn signal is off (like my picture), you only see white LED (which fills the entire eyebrow), when you turn the signal on (or lock/unlock the car), you have both white LED and amber halogen, which together actually look really cool, imo

LED connectors
Nice Job Plewton,
Did you have to change any of the connectors for the LED's? or did you just pulled the stock MB bulb and put in the LED?
New to this,
Took delivery on December 30th of our new 2011 GLK350, this GLK is unbelievable what a ride,

the LEDs that i linked don't require anything, the resisters are built in, so just plug and play
the HIDs are 6000k though they look more like 8000k in the pictures, i had 8000s for a few days before i got the 6s and they looked really cheap to me, they were too blue, looked like a honda civic or something
