How to stop side mirror from tilting while reversing

I just leased a 2012 GLK a few days ago and I followed the instructions in the manual to set the right side mirror to tilt down while reversing. Now I find it annoying since sometimes I want to see what's coming while I am reversing from behind of me. I can't seem to "undo" this tilt down feature. How can I undo this feature? I'd rather have one of the memory buttons set specifically for tilting down while parking. There was instruction in the manual on how to do this but I can't while this other feature is engaged. Do you know how to do this? Thanks.

Did you try to program the the same way you did earlier but this time with side mirror in its normal position??

What ble2716 said is what I was thinking. If that works, then copy your normal seetings to an unused memory button. Adjust the right mirror and save to the new button. You will have to hold the new button while the mirror moves down and then hold your regular button while the mirror move up to the normal position. Hope this helps.

I think you need to make sure the driver-side red LED light is being controlled...not the passenger side red LED.

If the red LED is on the passenger side when reversing, it will tilt down.

Yes - simply press the button for the driver's side mirror. The passenger one only tilts if you press the passenger side mirror button.

Indeed. It is that easy. In fact, flipping from right to left mirror while in reverse moves the mirror from normal to down & back and forth on demand. Thanks!

put in R gear, hold the brake, select left side mirror on your mirror adjust button, and see how the right mirror works.
