Question 2012 glk highway engine noise

Hello guys,

I got myself a new GLK350 several months back, i love it and am starting to grow on the sharp looks!
the exhaust note is really good and i like to push it sometimes to hear that growl
anyways i have a question about a problem im facing when driving on the highway
at 75-80 mph (I havent gone higher yet) the car drives very smooth and no sound except for the wind and a pulsing/vibrating sound from the engine

im not sure what this pulsing sound is and if it is normal? anybody else experience this? it sounds like the engine is getting more load and then less consistently therefore creating that pulsing sound.. i wanted to check if this is how the v6 sounds? it kind of sounds like this rrrmmmmmmRRRRRRMMMMrrrrmmmRRRRMMMrrrrmmmmRRRRRRRRM MMM

hope to get some feedback soon

EDIT: Also there are stickers under the door handles stuck to the door, am i supposed to take those off? thanks

If your car is behaving differently from when it was new by all means take it in under warranty for a look-see.

Do you mean clear "stickers" behind the door handle? These were no doubt intended to protect the door surface from finger nail scuffs from opening and closing using the door handle. I see those on mine, too.

i dont think its really a whining/buzzing sound it sounds more like its coming from the front (engine) and its like a pulsing engine sound.. ill try to make a video today btw my car has like 4500 miles on it

ok guys so i drove around some more it seems like you can only hear it on smooth roads with minimal wind noise @ ~70mph and when there are 2-3 people in the car.. someone try it and let me know.. im sure its just the engine noise hehe (fingers crossed that my engine does not blow up hahahhahaha)

2012, 7,000 miles, we spent the afternoon driving 250 miles much of those miles cruising at 70 and passing folks at speeds up to 100 (I sneak up on 100 when the co-pilot isn't looking) and we never notice any unusual sounds. Get your GLK fixed.

We have the noise you speak of... very low, needs quiet road... and it does have a sweet spot where it's louder then falls off as you slow down with foot off the peddle.

i recently did a 1200 mile trip in 15 hours non-stop and noticed it on the smooth stretches of the road at like 80 mph therefore i decided to ask.. but yea it performed great other than the fact that i had to fill it up every 350ish miles haha

I should have added that it's best noticed on a smooth black top freeway, (radio off... our sweet spot is around 60-65mph) and it does vary with speed. It's a low-pitched whirl-hum sort of (tough to describe) but's it's no doubt a 4-Matic transmission related issue.... and here's the bad part, it's getting worse, louder and more noticeable according to my wife.
