And NSA intercept rooms at every telecom. Terrorism and national security sure is a beautiful Catch-22.

My earlier, now shredded rant pertained to nearly invisible in daylight, tiny, red LED turn signals on a new E 350 Wagon that I was following on a Houston, TX toll road.

Shoot, I love talking about government overreach and conspiracies.

Well, in retrospect, the 2013 GLK tails are sort of hypnotizing to drive behind at night.

In my disappeared, rude, rant I placed equal blame on the USGummermint (for not adopting amber rear turn signals the same day that Europe adopted them) and M-B for the size, shape & color of their USGummermint mandated LED turn signals on the E Wagon. I did give M-B high marks for the center brake light on the wagon.
By comparison, our 2012 GLK red LED rear turn signals are much larger and very visible in daylight. I'm not sure where M-B went wrong with the E Wagon. If I could afford one, it would get the Europe spec. rear lights before delivery.

Ah, yes the turn signals ARE near invisible in day time. The lack of contrast does NOT help one notice them. They are hardly RED. More pink-ish.

The amber turn signals just plain make SENSE.
