That's basically the same timeline as my vehicle. So perhaps it has something to do with the eco button and/or the gas engine. Who knows?

Same timeline here... my new 2014 C350 arrived in late Feb and I had the same issue through March, then it went away without me doing anything... so I wonder if this was a Sirius sided issue. Has not done this channel update thing for at least 3-4 weeks now.

Same here C350 Sports Sedan with COMAND. Issue resolved itself about 3 weeks ago, with no action on my part, so I am guessing it was something on Sirius's side...

I've always thought it was a Sirius issue. I've never had the problem in the two recent late model M-B's with Command, but on an older car with aftermarket and Sirius, I had the problem for a couple of weeks quite some time back. I called their support, (in the Philippines!) and it was fixed. My GLK has never even burped! With anything!

Interesting. I definitely have had it in the past three weeks, but I can't recall if I've had it in the past week. We don't drive the car everyday (both of us work from home), but we're taking a mega road trip next week, so we'll see.

Was just the the dealer today and service said the same as others reported... "Appologized and said MB is aware of the issue and working to resolve it." They also told me something that has not been mentioned yet.... If it happens, simply hold the "on" button for 10 seconds and it will do a soft restart and clear the issue. This was motorwerks in the Chicagoland area.

Will definitely try this the next time the prob pops up! If it works, mb really should release this info in a tsb as a temp work around.

I agree... But maybe they did. My dealer got the info from somewhere and I doubt they called the mothership immediately... Who knows

There's your answer. I figured it was published in some way because my dealer knew about it right away.

In any case, sigh, my dealer isn't the smartest bulb.

Just sent an email *****ing to my dealer that he wasn't keeping up with this. Thinking of getting a new dealer.

Sirius updating issue

Just wanted to say that the problem exists in my March 2014 delivery GL so it looks like MB has not fixed it yet.

Awesome. My dealer was claiming that your dealer must have "figured out a solution" that "wasn't broadcast to all dealerships."

Too funny. Sounds like its time for a new dealer.

We have four MB dealers and numerous third party shops in the area. Needless to say I will not be servicing our car at the dealer where I bought it.

The diesel system would have a completely different starting (ignition) system which I believe has something to do with it since the issue pops up (or goes away temporarily) when starting. My radio continues to have this "updating channels" issue. I will not be signing up for satellite radio when the free 6 month trial ends unless this is fixed in time.

Same problem

I have a 2014 ML550 with push start and am having exact problems as above. Dealer suspected loss of communication when we discussed over phone but I'm waiting for software fix bf I left them rip mine apart. Great forum. Will keep watching and post any updates. I'm in KY.

The hold the on button for Comand until the system resets -- about 10 seconds -- is a welcome temporary workaround.
