Drivers seat control doesn't work

For some odd reason, after yesterday cleaning the car, I move the seat forward to vacuum underneath it, and then I put the seat in memory number one setting. The seat is in memory one, but now it does not let me move through the seat controls at all. I'm unsure if this is a control issue from the actual controller on the drivers door? Or if it is a potential fuse. I do not believe that this is the entire seat motor because it was fine. I'm hoping it's a fuse or a controller... I did wipe the controller off with a wet cloth, could that be the issue?

Thanks!

Is it possible, while vacuuming, you may have disconnected a wire under the seat ?
Just a wild quess.

I checked under the seat, all looks plugged in... FYI: the seats motor doesn't click or anything when the controller is pushed. The memory function is inoperable as well. No audible beep when trying to set a memory button... (I tried this troubleshooting) does the memory function have anything to actually do with the seats motor? This is why I am thinking a fuse... Who knows..

check the fuses but if it's under warranty have the dealer fix it. Too many sensors and other connections which could affect the seat motors.

How can I open the fuse box near the drivers side compartment? It is really tightly closed...

Never mind about the fuse box... It does not exist... Why do they have it in the manual? That makes no sense! I have yet to investigate the problem, as that the car has been gone all day!!

I had this exact issue yesterday. But when I used different memory button M2 or M3 and then M1 (my setting), the seat control started working again.

Update: I pulled fuses I believe 43&44 in the luggage compartment fuse box and fuses 2&3 under the hood. All fuses were fine, but this did enable the seat to work again!!! YAY! All is fine

Looks like another computer glitch which got reset by de-powering the fuse.

GLK Seat Memory

Love this forum. Wife's GLK seat memory functions stopped working and after reading your posts I pulled fuses 1 and 2. And magically the memory functions started working again.
Thanks guys and gales for all your input.

Figured it out

Thanks to all for the input here, my drivers side seat adjustment, memory settings and power steering wheel adjustment suddenly stopped working. After reading other replies here, I pulled both #2 & #3 fuses under the hood with no change. So I got underneath the drivers seat and unclipped the wiring harness closest to the door and then just plugged it back in and finally the seat just started working again!! Funny thing though, 2 other people here said they had washed theirs the day prior and so had I, strangely enough, although that may be complete coincidence .
happy to be back in working order now!!
