GLK 250 DPF and now relacement NOx sensors
At 94000 miles, check engine light came on, pulled code and said below minimum limit for regeneration on Bank 1. 2 weeks later, reman. DPF comes from Germany (so I am told). $2600.00 later, DPF replaced. Within 5 days CEL comes on. Auto Zone pulled codes about NOx sensors. On my way to the dealer, "10 starts remaining" illuminates. I have NEVER let the system get to this point. At the first indication, I ALWAYS add def fluid! Brought it back to the dealer. He reset the def system and the NOx codes extinguished. Got the car back and the next day, CEL COMES ON! The dealer had the car since 08/19 trying to figure out what to do. After putting approx. 150 miles on the GLK, service calls 08/24 and said, CEL is back on!!! Going to start from scratch, he says! Today, 08/25, service calls and says I need new NOx sensors, $1500.00 !!! They clainm that the original sensors are not made anymore and have to be upgraded!!! I SMELL B*%$S%#@!!! No issues with NOx until after DPF was replaced. I am new to forum, PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I had my NOx sensors replaced at the dealership's expense when I bought my car. It was a 1700$ ordeal for them to deal with.
However, if I had to do it myself, I'd simply order Denso ones off Rockauto.com for 220$ and install them myself.

)Seems you are at mercy of dealer unless you can find a shop that is equipped to maintain these cars.

I've been through all 4 sensors in 30k miles which were replaced under warranty. And as a result I've been able to test drive many of the newer models. c300, glc, gla, gle, and a cla.
I would never buy the gla/cla as both are too small and and too much torque steer.

The 2013 did not seem to have a problem, but the 2014 did (documented here in another thread). I had my car upgraded very soon after we bought it because I learned of problem here.

My 2013 is in the shop as we speak, so to speak. The DPF is out, being replaced under warranty. I bought the vehicle with 52k on it, was not aware of these issues with the diesel and in fact searched out the exact car I wanted. When the CEL came on, I first went to an Indy shop, they charged me 170 bucks to do a regeneration that lasted 2 days. The next week I went in to the local dealer, very worried I would be taken advantage of. I didn't buy the car there, though they did sell me on it...I just got the call that there is another switch out, to go ahead and keep the loaner a day or two until it gets sorted. I have to say that so far I feel like I have been treated fairly. I also am very nervous about all these issues with the diesel. Sorry to hi jack the thread, but with all these high repair costs I am nervous about keeping this car, no matter that I love it so...and I do. If I have another failure of any kind with this related to the emissions, I will have to begin the search for a replacement vehicle. Will see how the dealership treats me on a trade in. If they use the fact that it is a diesel to lower the trade in value...well then I will no longer be a MB Fan Boy if you get my meaning.

MB had such a great run with diesels, building a 'bulletproof' reputation with many examples on the road with more than 500k..I thought I was buying in to that.
The loaner they gave me is a 300 C class...meh. I think for the money there are better choices, I thought I made one of them. I am hoping this period in the shop is going to work it out.
I asked for the replaced part to be given back to me and they said they had to send it back to MB. ?
