So just had the B-Service inCanada on the GLK was over 750 dollars Canadian, had them do the cabin air and I took the engin air filters as parts and today changed them out, noting that the engine had been shampooed and I'm sure the engine covers were removed for the service. The left air intake hose was damaged and ripped. I'm sure that's normal. Today I changed out the air filters and repaired the air hose intake. Hoses with KT tape normally used for physical therapy for humans because not only are they breathable like the hoses they stick to the fabric. I'm ordering newhoses for sure it this was a temporary fix I thought to share. Sadly the tape I used was caucasien my current inventory but had it been black it would have been seamless. Thanks ever so much for your tips.

I changed both intake hoses on my 2010 last spring. Aftermarket from Rock Auto. Identical to stock and a fraction of the cost. I also did the cabin filter which was one of the easiest I've ever done. My wife's previous BMW (535i GT) required removal of an air bag, the worst I've ever done.

I got a pair off Amazon a couple of years ago for our 2010 and they are going strong, but I picked up a pair for a friend's 2012 off rockauto and they seem a little better quality.

Any chance of posting a link for the hoses? One of mine is ripped and being held with duct tape at the moment. I think I should replace it with a new one. TIA
