Winter tires/wheels for 2017 GLS450

Hello guys,
Where would you go for snow tires/wheels?
I checked MB website.
http://www.mbwheels.ca/
The whole package is about CAD$5000+tax.

Just wonder if I have other options.

thanks

Try Costco just for winter tires! They will swap tires through seasons for $10 each.

I'm in Toronto Canada. But if needed, I can drive to NY state or MI.

Try Simplytire - Allen is the man and can hook you up.
If you are in the markham area, Speedstar is also good.

Good luck!

Im in the US, but shopping for winter tires/wheels for the same vehicle. Not finding many options in the required sizes - are you finding many choices?

Do you have Tirerack in Canada? The US tire rack only has 1 tire choice in 19" and 1 in 20", but there are many wheels to choose from. Package prices seem to start US$2,00-$2500 depending on your wheels. I would just like to have a few more choices in tires...

My MB dealer offered my CAD$3600 including the whole set with Pirelli Scorpion 265/55/19 Mercedes-Benz approved tires on 19” MB alloys, mounted, balanced and installed.

I think that I'd go with this offer.

just wonder whether 19" is too small.

I just purchased 4 Pirellis 295/40 R21 Scorpion Winter, 300 euros per corner. I will just need to get them mounted, it will cost me around 100 euros in France. At first I wanted either Nokian or Michelin, but Michelins dont exist in this size, and Nokians are studded only and that wont work for me.

19" set in that size is factory approved. The owners manual gives size options, be sure to read it accurately for your model. 19" wheels are standard on 450 and 350 without the AMG look, such as we have in US whereas in CAN you get the fancy package option we lack with the star 21". It's a bit odd that MB says use 265 55 19, as 275 55 19 is three season sizing from factory, but it's a minor size variance in OD that even MB accepts.

Tires are so much less in US and Buffalo is so close, you could price shop a bit there. You don't even use TPMS sensors in CAN like we require, typically for the GL anyway.. But approx US$3000 as you are quoted for new OEM 19" wheels with tires is far from total **** from a franchise dealer. Be sure that it's for brand new boxed wheels, not take offs from a truck upgraded by a customer, or renegotiate lower if the latter.

Few options for winter tires at our size ranges. No opinion or experience with this scorpion and now shopping myself for rubber only (got a set of 19 take offs to use for winter rather than my 20").
