Now that I’ve had time to actually look at one, I saw this last night and thought to myself “what a great spot to create a wind noise issue”. It’s the top of the windshield where the roof rails are mounted. Lots of stuff going on at this spot. Rails connecting, glass connecting, sunroof connecting, and what looks to be a rain water drain slot. Get enough wind compression rolling off the windshield into this little spot, and I’d almost be shocked if it didn’t whistle a bit.. there is some little part they used to cover it up too, you can see it in my photos. As a test for those suffering from this noise - maybe put a piece of painters tape on this section and take it for a test drive to see if it helps? That should answer the question if it does...

When I got my W212, I had a drivers seat issue with comfort. No dealership could fix it, so I just took it apart myself and quickly realized the issue - a wire in the seat bottom cushion with a 90 degree angle turn that was too much for the pad to cushion against. A few wacks of a hammer and a handful of old hand towels inserted between the springs and the pad - and what was the worst seat comfort of any car ever, became the best of any car I’ve ever owned, and nobody can tell anything had been done to it. I had an experienced shop guy who test drove it for a different issue noticed how it felt and asked me what I did. Once I showed him, he started to do the same for customers he had that were making the same complaint. I got a free service that day!

I haven't noticed any wind noise yet because we have more noise inside. But I have noticed that the seals around the doors seem very flimsy especially around the corners. More of that legendary quality control from Alabama...

We don't have any wind noise either thankfully, but also too new to really tell. We too have too much other noise inside the car in general, and along with my hairline, waistline, and patience level.....I blame my kids! Ha!

Did this fix the problem and did the new one also have that notch because mine also has a spot there but it looks like it’s supposed to be?

Ended up not switching it. Isolated it to the mirror like everyone else and after mirror housing replacement by dealer and 3 layers of 3m clear tape in the crease where the wind sucks in the noise is buffered but still there...

wind noise of GLC 300 2019

I have a GLC 300 2019 and I am experiencing wind noise at the passenger and driver side. We had my car test driven already and sometimes they said it was pronounced and sometimes they could not hear it, and times they will say it's just a wind turbulence which they would like me to believe it's normal. When I switched to Mercedes Benz, one of the things I liked was the smoothness and quietness of the car on the road. But now that I am hearing the wind noise, it isn't right to pay that much for that stress. They made me feel that I was the only one hearing it or I was the only one complaining about it. Then I found this website and found the Service Bulletin for Wind Noise. Then I sent my dealer an email and attached the Service Bulletin and told them, "it had been a complaint since 2015! Why should I be the one to find this service bulletin??" So they told me to bring the car back this Monday, hopefully they will fix it correctly this time because the first fix was installing a rubber at the passenger's window. It wasn't resolved. According to the Service Bulletin LI, it will be fixed by an acoustic panel. I am sharing the Service Bulletin I got from this website in case any of you might need it. I am thankful for the one who shared this link.https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...lletin-14.html

Any ideas?

Thanks
they need to adjust and tighten the window. When opening your window while you drove over 50mph please try to lower the window just very little by little and see if the wind stops at some point. İf it does then the window adjustment is needed.

Same issue here. Dealer replaced window seal and door seal. Still there, possibly worse now. Did you get yours resolved?

Having the wind issue as well. Mine seems to be coming from the Pano roof. Car is a week old and this is extremely annoying!

Sorry to hear. I have just learned to live with it or turn the music up. It only happens to me when driving in certain directions on more open roads! Probably more to do with wind direction though.
