Spent most of the day at the dealer yesterday comparing the 580 and the Maybach. Decided to go with the Maybach. For me it was the right decision. Just need to figure out how everything works! Quick comparison to my LWB Rover: no diminution in interior quality; handling similar; ride is softer in the Maybach mode; plenty of power; I don't think it is much smaller, but has less of a presence.
The Maybach came closer to what I was giving up in my LWB Rover than the 580. Only two rows of seating meant more room in the second row (we don't need a 3rd row); increased power; and better fittings and more leather in the interior. Everything I could touch was either wood or leather, including the headliner and inside of the door pockets. And the grill, as a friend said, is vast! My only hesitation was the increased cost. At least no dealer mark-up.
I've been EXTREMELY pleased with the Maybach, albeit only having put 2K miles on it so far. I really wish it had the audio seat shakers as my Bentayga has (as a 920,000 penny option), but otherwise it's a nicer drive than that car.

I am loving the Maybach too! I also have 2k on her and have a Bentayga!
