My question is how does wheel/tire size impact the functionality of E-ABC?
I have a CPO 2020 GLS 450. It has E-ABC, upgraded Burmester, and even Sport brakes that was not an offered option. A forum member believed that the original owner was a MB executive or an executive of a MB supplier. With all the options (MSRP 106k), it has the standard (at the time) 19” wheels.
I was looking at the 2020 GLS DOG and found this:
E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL Package (DC7PKG)
Option Price: $6,500
Optional on all GLS models
Requires tire diameter 790 (wheel size 20” or larger)
There are times when the E-ABC works great, but there are other times on rough roads or areas with multiple pothole patches when I don’t feel any benefit. So now I am wondering if the 19" wheel size is affecting the performance of the function?

'21 AMG53 wDPP & ARC, 19 GLC300 - Former- 10&14 ML BlueTecs, 20 GLE450 E-ABC, 15 Cayenne D, 17 Macan
But it doesn't correct for one-side-only things like a pothole.
AMG ride control, ARC, corrects for potholes or other single-sided stuff.

I can say with 100% that E-ABC in our GLS is doing at least some of this. We have a section of road nearby where a pothole was overfilled. When driving over it at 40 I can feel our other vehicles lift the passenger side and then fall back down as expected. The GLS glides over it as if it wasn't there. Same for driveway humps on country roads and subtle dips on other roads. Certainly doesn't have to be a full lane width thing. I don't have to do a lot of night driving so I don't know if what I feel is a result of the road surface scan or just something that E-ABC can account for on its own. I always notice how much it's is doing when switching back to our other cars after driving the GLS for a while.
